I've got some SiC balls in my Zeal. TBH I didn't notice much difference when I put them in compared with the ruby that I had before.
I have noticed a lot of difference between different bowls, though!
My current favourite is the Crossing Technologies hybrid matrix bowl. Good size, super open...
Jeez launching a new revision right now would be a.. bold choice. Especially since AFAIK there weren't reports of problems with the OG..
That'll be interesting to watch!
They'll help keep your piece a lot cleaner. Ball vapes put through a lot less muck vs smoking, but they still get pretty gross. A dropdown will take the worst of it, and save you some cleaning of your full rig.
I've also read people recommend velcro tape for holding glassware down on tables effectively. Haven't tried it myself, but that might open up a few more options for you ;-)
I think the FC-199 is a good match in your situation. As would be the FC-MOD (https://www.dhgate.com/product/2015-new-34-5cm-height-glass-bong-with-matrix/255741536.html). Both work really well with ball vapes. I think the FC-199 is a bit more stable, but the FC-MOD isn't bad, either.
I also...
I think mouthpieces are largely personal preference. I like this one a lot (which I think the DHGate one looks like a copy of): https://www.thickassglass.com/products/tag-4-bent-neck-22x3mm-w-double-hump?variant=39926558752803
My favourite MP is one I got from Texas Hot Glass with one of their...
I'm also a big fan of the TAG one - I use it with my Protege v1 and sometimes my Influx.
I picked up a couple from DHGate which were similar to the CC ones, but with the mouth part flattened. I find them a lot more comfortable than the CC ones, but still think the TAG does a better job of...
I've been back onto my full size Influx lately, using it with a whip and an Ed's TNT bowl.
It's a very tasty setup! Also looks fantastic on the desktop, I reckon.
Just a quick update.. have had about a month with the Angus 100W now, and am super happy with it.
Comfy in the hand, fast to heat up, efficient as hell. Pretty reasonable to clean, though I would love to have spare CUs available so I could swap them in.
It's really hard to find much to...
So I picked up a 100W Angus a couple of weeks ago. Put in some fresh Molicel batteries, then left on a holiday for about a week, taking it as my road buddy.
I'm really, really impressed with this thing! I've owned a Mighty and a Crafty, both of which had been run to the point where the...
I recently picked up a TAG 18mm j-hook, and wow, it's a beast of a thing. Heavy, thick glass. Just makes my other j-hooks feel like toys ;-)
But yeah, very impressed with the cooling from it. The sheer thermal mass of the glass seems to do a lot.
While on the topic of Prophets.. are there plans for a restock anytime soon?
I think it's the one piece I'm still most keen to add to my collection at this point.
