Cloud V Electro

Yea, I really like the size/power of the cloud. I have the boost and the temp drops real fast.

But for me, at this point in time, I have to err on the side of caution and pass on the electro. I hope they address the material safety in future versions. Doesn't necessarily mean new materials, maybe even an official statement from cloudv about their nails.

I really want to like this vape.

I hope you guys continue having lots of fun with your units!

I might do a red setting(1000 degrees) dab and compare it to my blue setting(800 degrees) on the cloudage when i make my full review video. I am will you though, I take my dabs are 800 setting and wait about 2-3 seconds before I take my dab.

I just seem to get better results going to 1000F for those bigger than usual dabs. When I try to clear a big dab at 800F, I always end up with a little pooled up oil in the nail and then I have to run another cycle to finish. The problem is that the second cycle never tastes as good to me so I like to clear the dab in one cycle.

I was wondering hmm....When you were hitting your dab in the vid at 800F did you finish it all in one cycle? That was a Rockstar hit bro haha

I get what you mean, sometimes I have left over oil in the nail and it burns off, hence why I want the 16mm version. It would allow the oil more space to flow and get thinner and less viscous heating it up better and getting all of the product. Luckily they are the same price for 12mm and 16mm 29.99

Yeah, I think I'm going to pick up a 16mm too. It will be interesting to see if the larger surface area of the 16mm disperses and vaporizes those big dabs better than the 12mm..

G9 makes baby hits(like a pen), and uses a 2500Mah battery, hardly worth the price. You might as well buy the DHgate version... Dabadoo, Dr.Dabber, G9, are all rebrands/knock offs of each other. http://www.dhgate.com/product/porta...rizer/269836431.html#s1-5-7b;searl|2656034079 or this one https://www.vapefiend.co.uk/dabbie-the-portable-e-nail.html or any of the many knock offs. IDK how you find that higher quality, but to each his own.

This is not true any more. Each one of these companies is starting to offer different tweaks. And, to my knowledge, everything on dhgate still uses the Teflon top. DO NOT BUY A H-Enail on dhgate these days unless you want the potential for melting Teflon.

They are all literally the same thing, you might have different types of noodles, but it's still pasta. lol

You are absolutely incorrect. They all started as the same thing back in November, but all the devices of that form factor are not all the same thing today. Some are still using/selling Teflon, some are using different programming logic for heat cycles, and others are starting to offer Quartz/ceramic nails.

IMO, The impact on performance negates the "pasta effect" :)

Yeah, I was just speaking from personal experience, not really trying to argue either :) I have seen a couple of people I know get burned thinking that the items listed on dhgate as h-enails are the same as the updated dr dabber boost or a non-counterfeit greenlight h-enail.

So I had a nail go out on me, called cloud they are reshipping a new one free of charge, they said if it happens again it's possibly the battery, and they would reship me a new one...Well hot damn.... LOL not bad customer service at all. 2nd nail that came with it has been going strong, I do prefer 800degree dabs unless i am doing like a .2 then I turn up to 1000.

Too bad about your nail man.. Hopefully it's not the battery. I'm glad to hear that customer service took care of you.

Did you ever pick up one of the 16mm nails? It would be interesting to see if the bigger nail can increases performance on big dabs. I'm thinking that the extra surface area would help disperse the oil and vaporize quickly.. Maybe I'll order one this week:tup:

Definitely helped vape it faster! That was my favorite feature and the selling point on the electro. I would recommend it if you plan on continuing use with your device.

what's the best Pelican (or Pelican-style) case for the Cloud Electro with the sidearm bubbler option? Surprisingly the unit does not come with a carrying case

For the price I agree it should have come with a carrying case(unless they are literally breaking even which I doubt) I use a case like this right now 20 bucks most headshops. Might get a pelican case in the future. But so far no issues with the bong bag on hikes.

So they ended up giving me two 16mm nails and wow do they shit on the 12mm. The 33 percent size increase is huge, and the nail seems to heat up quicker for some reason(I thought it would take longer due to increased mass) but here is a comparison.

@CBDFarm that's awesome! Do you find the 16mm more capable of finishing a good size dab in one cycle... With maybe two inhales.. If I have a big dab in the 12mm I usually have to run two cycles to finish the entire dab..For me, a big dab would be .1g to .15g..

Yes the 16mm really does make a difference, I take big dabs too, especially when using the dabber/carb cap they give you since it's not pointed. It works a lot better to the point on the 800 degree setting I have to wait otherwise the dab seems hot to me. The 16mm nail is worth the upgrade IMO.

Yeah, I agree that 800F is the best temp. I usually don't wait though as there is only about 15 seconds per cycle to kill your dab.. Alright.. I gotta try the 16mm..I'll order tomorrow. I can't wait to experiment :D

so whats the verdict on this piece? just ordered one with the bent side arm bubbler but as i have asthma some of the things i am reading about the nails being toxic makes me want to send it back.

No "verdict" and a bit of debate, but I used one at the Cannabis Cup at the Cloud station and found the taste and bubbler function to be pretty unremarkable. I would much rather have one of the new 510mod Greenlight e nails, although I'm not a big dabber so YMMV. I just really didn't like the way the bubbler functioned and found the size awkward, that + the unit tear down pics I've seen make it less appealing to me. But some users here seem to love it. Another healthy option is a Herc or other w9 product + bubbler attachment

From my perspective since ive tried a few portables now:

The Cloud: pros: Biggest hits, most percolation, biggest battery(6000mah others use a 2500mah) , triple 0-ring(most others use 2), 2 heat settings, 16mm nail option for huge dabs, and the customer service is pretty good.

Cons: Less portable then the Dr.dabber, dabadoo, etc, doesn't have a ceramic option(could be a thing in the future) more expensive, the nails have a tendency to die out(but they have warranty), side arm wont stand up without base

IMO it's the best portable enail out right now if you are looking for a bigger hit, if stealth is more of an issue then the G9,Dr dabber,Dabadoo, etc will be better, they are all more or less knock offs though... With slight differences between each other. They produce much more of a traditional pen hit, especially the ones with the ceramic nails as they don't seem to get hot enough. For about 50 bucks more I think its worth it.

From what I have read the guy that tore it open torched it.... Of course you will have issues. LOL

@tylerj55 's tear downs did not only happen after torching. The components inside the nail are not ideal regardless of whether or not he torched it and I know from my friend who owns one that the nails begin to degrade and discolor quickly. Not saying it isn't safe because I genuinely don't know. But if you guys have had no troubles it probably is. I just think the bubblers suck for the price point and I would rather have a nice W9/Source pen setup with some DHgate glass.
