Hello I am the owner of divine tribe and ineedhemp.com
I started my company about a year and a half ago. I am dedicated to making the cleanest atomizers and vape pens for reasonable prices. I am still trying to create a true dry herb vape cart with 510 threading. In the meantime I have been concentrating on ceramic rods and donut atomizers. Please feel free to ask questions about any of my products. Or if you want to make suggestions I am open to evolving these products. My products are designed with customer feedback.
Thanks
Matt

I am trying to use ceramic rods and smooth ceramic rods. I have made a YouTube video of me torching one of the ceramic bars. My manufacture said it can take 2700•f. I was worried it would break down into a powder. But it held up.

I have some Nichrome and some titanium. The Nichrome is more desire able because it heats up red hot fast. The Ti wires heat slower and the hits are smaller.

If you need me to rip apart any of my attys let me know. I can also get you the exact information on what is being used. Just let me know which atomizer you want me to give you the info on.

I have absolutely NO interest in breathing in the off-gassing from nichrome, nor from some undefined "titanium"...

Surgical stainless steel, or certified grade 2 Ti only. Sorry. Next?

And as far as wires go. It is only mine and a couple others opinions that the Ti coils did not hit as well. It could be different for other atomizers using Ti

So should I get the coils wrapped with those wires then? I will ask tonight and find out if they can do the grade 2 or steel. Can you post me a link on the dangers of the wires I am using. I wonder why so many would use Nichrome when there seems to be a strong sentiment that it is bad.

I do have the ceramic donut atomizers coming in on Monday. No metals. There are a few pics up on FC now in another thread.

There is a bit of an anti-nicrome sentiment around here for a couple of reasons, none of which are related to actual health risks related to NiCr inhalation. Most of it comes from the generally shoddy quality of atomizers that we have had to deal with in the past few years, and marketing put forward by some of the other manufacturers. I have no doubt that most people who would forgo using a vaporizer on account of a tiny amount of NiCr would have no problem baking a Turkey in their oven underneath several pounds of it for a few hours and then eating it.

That being said, this is only valid if you have a handle on your supply chain and are sure what you are using is truly NiCr wire without any extra adulterants, something that is fairly common and what most people are worried about. Low grade titanium is also fairly common, so being able to certify that your product uses Grade 2 will make a lot of people feel safer. You might also want to look into FeCr-Alloy as a possible option as well, I think you'll find it has many desirable qualities for this application.

All in all, welcome to FC. I think you'll find that while we tend to be pretty quick to circle the wagons (we have had to deal with a lot of predatory companies in the last little while), if you have good quality products and stand behind them, you'll see how quick we can warm up :)

Welcome Matt! I bought quite a few attys of yours to try out and rip up I was curious so I bought all the ones I could think would work well with wax and shatter. Have been experimenting the last day and am having fun! Really excited to have you on fc mate.

no metal in it.
It is what i have been using for the last three weeks.
i will be getting these in on Monday. there are more pros than cons, that i will get into.

THAT looks interesting. Just ceramic heating surface? Is it some sort of special glazing - lead-free? so that the concentrate won't soak in?

i will take your questions and points and pass them off to my vendors and get back to you on this thread, when i hear from them. these are ceramic donuts(not sure of ceramic ingredients yet) and it sits in a ceramic cup. the donut heats up on both sides so anything under the cup gets vaporized too. I am stuck on vaping these waxes and i want to find the cleanest ways possible so i am supper open to critique. let's make these things safe for the frailest people and evolve these products. i am willing to go to lengths to test things myself as well. i did a youtube video google - "divine tribe torch ceramic rod test" but i am willing to send samples off to labs to make msds sheets. but first i want to make sure my vendors are making it with what i tell them to first. we need to start a lab that can test these coils here in the USA, Regulation is starting soon, and i think being in the forefront and being on top of testing will be important, and could become the norm really quick.

I wanted to thank Matt @divinetribe for the super fast response to my inquiry yesterday. Within 15 minutes he had responded to my e-mail. It is encouraging to hear his willingness to make these atomizers the safest and best quality possible. A far cry from the "grab bag" approach of some atomizer retailers. Got a pocket full of cash to throw at those ceramic attys.....

Google ineedhemp. Thanks for the warm welcome.
Interesting...will keep my eyes on this.

Where could we find your products? Looking from mobile phone so might be in your sig, just saying it is not visible from mobile devices.

The donut sure looks promising.
I am at ineedhemp.com

Not sure which parts are not visible as far as the site goes. I also am down to talk shop whenever. My number is on the site. Thanks
Matt

Oeps missed that in your first post...works good for the rest;)

Ps donut seems almost like a mini vaporbrothers2....is it not feasible to close the disc completely, leaving no room for the concentrate to go anywhere? Air intake holes should be placed along the side then I imagine....

Yes air holes. Especially in the summer can be the best way to loose wax. The air holes need to be changed especially on that donut. It should not be a problem getting them to change it. The disk heats up on both sides and sits in a ceramic cup. So anything under it gets vaped too.

Got my Divine Tribes skillet in the other day and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. Came out to 1.6 ohms, but I like short fires at voltage around 4.2 for more of a dab effect.

Matt, I think a great revision to the skillet would be to secure the cap with an o-ring like we see in many drippers as opposed to the threading, just take the Trident V2 as an example. Threading will wear with time and it would make for quicker access to your skillet if their were an o-ring instead.

The threads and coil on mine have held up to heavy use after 3 months, the threading can be improved. But it's not a bad quality thread. The cool thing about the skillet is the mouthpiece is higher, so if you load a big glob it won't splash while you're hitting it.

BTW, another question... how much oil can you put in this? and, does it have leaking issues at all? What viscosity of concentrates does it work with?

purchased some of these divine tribe atomizers on ebay a few months back, they were made out of ceramic wick and steel wire. they tasted alright, for a few hits a day, but seem to change taste to nasty metallic pretty fast. maybe a week. ceramic donut looks like it would remove that gross burnt metallic taste from the equation, so id be willing to try that out.

the only pen i can compare this to is omicron lite with the Ti coil/ceramic atomizer, havent had bad taste problems, and the flavor is awesome. also the air holes are on the side to prevent dripping.

Can we have some information on the quality of ceramic used? Do you have any details from the manufacturer with regard to the grade and makeup of the ceramic? Better still, do you have independent analyses of a representative sample of the ceramic you use?

Your ceramic donut in particular looks promising for concentrates - however, many of us vape for health purposes. This is not predominately an ecig forum, many of us do not want to use products which may produce harmful vapor in the airpath due to inappropriate use of materials. As such, the material that your wires/coils/heaters/wicks are made of should be fully disclosed in as much detail as you can find.

I look forward to learning more about your product, the ceramic donut could become very popular around these parts once we are satisfied that this information has been delivered in good faith and the understanding that you have done your due diligence to ensure accurate and detailed description of your products.

You will receive scrutiny here more than most other sites, however, you will also find there are plenty of good people around here who will provide a huge, active community around your business. It is certainly worth finding out these details if you haven't already. Don't worry, as someone who will be entering the vape market soon enough myself - I wouldn't have known that these questions were so important to answer myself til I came to FC!

Also, welcome! :)

Sorry, to be clear - is the pen you are talking about the Ceramic donut cart? Or something else?
