A nudge in the right direction please

Hello All
I'm pretty new to the forums and vaping. I started out about 5 months ago now and love it. I've been reading the forums for months now trying to take in as much as possible. It has been a steep learning curve but I am loving it and the concept of the vaping community as a whole.

I'm hoping to get a little advice if possible please. I started with the MFLB and loved it. After a while I knew I needed something more. So I ordered a Plenty. I know it is not the most popular vape here but I really enjoy it. It hits hard and imo the cloud/vapour production is very good. However, as has been previously suggested the Plenty is not very efficient.

I live in Hong Kong and herb is expensive here. So I want to get another vape to compliment the Plenty. I find the Plenty hits hard (probably because I need to put a relative large amount of herb in the chamber) and uses up my herb pretty fast. I want to get a very efficient vape and would prefer a lighter effect if you know what I mean.

I have narrowed my choices down to the Pax, the Solo or possibly an UD. It does not have to be portable as I mostly vape at home. I'm not really worried about price either as I think the savings will come through increased efficiency.

So any comments or suggestions. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Thanks Iwien. I was looking at the Underdog website and it seems they only have one in stock at the moment. They seem so cool though.

Of those 3, I would go with an (w)Underdog, for sure.

The Underdog customer service can't be beat, and when you're in Hong Kong, that could be important...

Of course, it'll just be the beginning of a log vape collection...

Considered the E-Nano? The new log on the block...

Thank you again. Seems like the UD is going to be the choice. As you said though I'm sure it will be the first of many log vapes!! It is good to get good customer service. Apart from being far away I'm also isolated from other vapers pretty much.

The e-nano looks great as well. I will definitely consider it. Thanks again.

i would highly recommend the Underdog vaporizer. beautiful, efficient, and is able to use small amounts of materials to help conserve while still delivering big hits. the reason there is only one UD on the website is because all the others have been sold for the time being. however, Dave who makes the UD's said he will be putting more on the website very soon.

but if you feel that the UD doesn't fit your needs, i've heard greats things about the Solo.

Glad you like the name To be honest I only speak a little Chinese but I've been here for a long time so the name just seemed appropriate.

I've made a decision and just placed my order an hour ago. My decision was to go for the Arizer Solo this time but the next one will definitely be a log style vape, probably an UD. They really seem pretty special so I thought why rush it? I'll take my time and get the exact one I like. These vapes are so addictive. I love them!

P.S. Thanks again to Stu for letting me know the Pax is a herb hog. Exactly what I don't want right now and you saved me from making a less than perfect purchase. This forum is greatness!

Agreed, UD would have been my recommend, but the Solo, which is STELLAR IMO, is a bit like a portable Log vape. You will love it Mr. G!!
I still recommend an Underdog if efficient extraction without sacrificing LARGE cloud production is your goal.
And you WILL love Dave and Amanda at Underdog once you succumb!

Its not on ur top three, but I have been very happy with my wychwood vape. U might read into those as they are very similar to UD that your looking into. Good luck with the search.

E Nano looks slick with fast heat up times and in line temp control. However, UD's (IMO) are a each a unique piece of art and that speaks to me. Just read the 2 threads for a while (both great, but different vibes) and see what speaks to you when the time comes. Both will give great efficiency, have great customer support, and a loyal following. I am a UD man, you may be a Nano guy. Not better, different?

You will love the Solo as well. That thing is so versatile it is a must have!

great choice with the Solo. i think you'll be very pleased. when it comes to the UD vs. the Nano, they are both very different but still similar at the same time. both use a different type of internal design and also have different functionality. i would recommend reading through both threads to acquire a better understanding because it would just be too difficult to try to compare the two, or any log vape comparisons IMO. enjoy the world of vapor!

I have to join in the chorus approving your choice of the Solo. I just got mine a couple weeks ago and I love it. I also have a Pax and I got the Solo because it was more efficient--as stated upthread, the Pax is an herb hog. The Solo is only my second favorite vape, though...the Underdog wins easily. Not only is it a unique piece of art, it's also highly efficient, always ready to hit, and capable of delivering monster hits. Enjoy your Solo, and definitely consider investing in a UD at some point!

Just a little update on the UD situation. I just received an email from Dave and he has told me that sadly he can no longer ship outside of the US. Damn Oh well I guess I will have to explore the other log vapes. But to be honest it just makes me more determined to get an UD now. I'm kind of thick like that.

I must say though it is really a wonderful thing to be able to get such great advice from fellow vapers. Hopefully the Solo keeps me happy for a while but I just know the next vape is around the corner

One of these days you should describe the challenges of partaking in China (though probably looser in HK). I think it would be scary, but who knows! After all, some say The Plant originated there.
