All I can say is fuck! just got my tracking number for the g box set..I probably shouldn't have ordered this thing, I actually have the sweetstix vape as well but i think wax leaked down to the battery. I get no connection when plugging it into the wall charger..and I think it's the exact same thing as the G pen...fuck. Time to start saving again. lol

edit: new user I had to post on how upset I am now that i'm actually looking into this product

Howdy.

Sorry you're upset and all, but I don't think it's all a total loss. I don't have one, but I understand the 'battery' part is a basic 510 tread e-cig 'pen'. That being the case you can use a five dollar adapter to run Omicron carts on it:
http://www.tropicalvapors.com/Adapt...artomizer-Omicron-Super-Nova-Smoore_p_68.html

That little guy will change the threads to 601 to match the Omicron carts. They're ten bucks each (by the box), you'll probably want a few at least, and consider getting the loading tool as well:
http://www.planetvape.ca/vaporizers/omicron-vaporizer.html

Get the 2.4 Ohm version. Check out the forum on this system, you'll find lots of guys in love with it. With good quality oils and waxes you can load half a gram and usually be leak free if you take it easy. It'll meter itself out over a maybe 150 hits. Say 300 hits to the gram for several grams.....pretty much all a guy could really ask?

Good luck, but I think you've got some useful bits there.

Gpen is 601 threading it takes omicron carts without an adapter. you need an adapter if you want to uae 510 parts on it. it is nice to get the cone from an omicron, but not necessary

Excellent. Like I've said, I don't have one so am going on what I've been told. This saves five bucks using Omicron carts......

Thanks for the information, useful to some good folks trying to find a way IMO.

Definitely useful, thanks for the info guys. On another note all I care to smoke lately is concentrates so I think I'll keep looking through these forums to gain some insight on vaporization and contribute what I can in whatever areas i'm knowledgeable. With that said I should get going but until next time happy trails

So, Ive had my Glass Tank for a week now and I came to the same conclusion and cuttybuddy. I'd don't hate it, and comparred to the old G Tank it's 1000 times better.

The second day I got it I broke the glass pulling the mouthpiece off... More than likely user error and Grenco is sending me a few glass tubes.

The mouthpiece fills with your oil... At first I thought this sucked but if you blow in the mouthpece while it's warm all the oil flows down onto the element.

The battery is so so... I gets you thru a day and a half maybe. It does however get burning hot after about 4 rippers.

The quality is way above what it use to be. The oil still tastes strange and I feel like I got higher from the OG Tank probably because of the wicks... I have also only used moonrock wax in it so far.

The glass sleeve does come off so that's cool.

The heating element inside the thing I feel is completly useless. The little coil in the dish is what seems to "vaporize' the oil/wax. I don't think it is vaporizing it tho... There's always little charcoal pieces in the bottom of the dish. The do seem to bubble and smoke tho...

The hits are about the same but I think they were denser from burning the wick. The slower you suck on the Glass Tank the bigger the hit seems to be. There's def a technique and once you get it you blow huge clouds.

All in all a vast improvment to the OG Tank and while I wouldn't pay 50 bucks for the tank I would pay 25 dollars for one. I'm still convinced thermovape is a superior product but if you're not interested in carrying batteries and you don't mind a little learning curve and a burning hot vaporizer then the Gpen might be what you'd like. I use a super tiny hard case and it's way smaller than my cell phone even with some wax in a jar and I rerally like that part. I was going to buy a thermovape but this new tank has held me off for a while.

GO to your local pipe shop and buy a glass tube same circumference as your glass or plastic tube on your Gpen. I got one about 2.5-3in long. get rid of the mouthpiece and all that crap and slide the new tube all the way down where the glass or plastic tube use to be. the tube ont the Gpen cartridges are completely removable. Now you'll have a huge glass shotgun tube attached to your Gpen and it works sooooo good.

I took the liberty of comparing the G-Pen and Omicron Tanks today...I don't think I'm going to post it in the Omicron Thread, not too sure if those guys like me too much. Lol enjoy

I don't think anyone in the Omicron thread has anything personal against you. Nobody has ever so much as spoken a word about you over there and if you're going to post a review/comparison of a product, it's only fair that you post it in both product's threads. Let people from both sides tell you what they have to think about your reviews (hell, at least some people actually post in that thread), not just the people that you believe your review will please. That's the only way to get truly accurate feedback on your vids. You will also surely learn more about both products that way.

I am fully in agreement. Fully. Similar past posts there have pointed to 'missed opportunities' and misunderstandings about function and 'proper' technique WRT to Omicrons, more could be added here for this review.....if that was the goal. I don't think it is, the 'I've bought my last Omicron cart' came through loud and clear to me. I'm not sure they ever got tried 'right' but nobody says the world has to be carefully researched or objective in opinions offered.

I also agree, such comparisons should be objective, personal likes and dislikes (especially WRT posters) really have no useful place IMO. I too think that usually is the case. Facts should stand on their own, no matter who says them.

I think the point of the number of happy owners posting there is a good one. Omicron is popular because it works well for folks. Lots of folks. IMO GV owners should give them a try and decide for themselves. Lots of folks 'over there' who have tried GV and changed over, any former Omicron users here?

Weigh the cart before and after cuttybuddy =) do agree not easy to see where its at but a nice warmup and slow load on the omicron is pretty easy. Never let it get below .2 g on your oil/wax <3

I can't help but to agree. For instance Cutty, you mentioned having to pop a bubble every time you want to use it. That should not be the case and is indicative of improper use of the device. As mentioned in the Omicron thread, there is a learning curve with it because it is actually new technology designed specifically for oils. However, once that learning curve is overcome, it can both rip like a champ and conserve your oil.

But lets forget all about that for a second. Since you prefer the "G-Tank" to the Omicron cart, why don't you just try the Ego-W tanks (aka "G-Tanks") that are available on Delta9's site with your Omicron? They're ten dollars cheaper than the ones sold by Grenco, better quality, and don't have glycerin soaked wicks. You're obviously not concerned with whether or not the device you use was actually designed for oil use in the first place, so I can't see how that wouldn't be a better bet for you. Not to mention, top notch customer service.

It's an Ovale Elipse e-cig...... Transporter, Cloud Pen, Atmos has one. It's just an e-cig, don't be fooled in to buying one for $100.

I was about to post the same thing. How do so many people fall for these rebranded ecigs?

Excellent point. My guess would be because there's a lot of people out there looking to make money this way? Some 'makers' seem genuinely concerned with delivering useful quality gear to folks (and have the Customer Service to back that up), but IMO you have to look a bit for them. The rest want your money (nothing wrong with that of course) and are being varying degrees of honest about how that happens.

Sad point is those who don't know any better don't know any better. We can try to fix at least some of that though.

Personally I don't like to see folks taken advantage of. Ironically in cases like this it's often those least able to stand the loss. But more important to me is that the bad experiences the junk brings can sour guys on vaping and send them back to blazing and once that happens an attitude of 'been there, done that, it's BS' sets in that in the end is going to effect their health big time. Bummer that part.

Thanks for the excellent thought. Important to think of from time to time, IMO.

Howdy, welcome to the fun. Poke around some, lots of good information and ways to spend your money going on.....

I think you're in luck in that they supply a basic 510 thread e-cig battery. I get the various versions of these guys mixed up sometimes, so I could be lying....not to worry someone with correct it quickly.

Anyway, DART will screw right on and fly.....if you can find one. They're out of production. You could no doubt get a AVA cartomizer rebuilt to DART specs and load manually I guess. However, unless I miss my bet you're good to go with 2.4 Ohm Omicron carts with this five dollar gizzie:
http://www.tropicalvapors.com/Adapt...artomizer-Omicron-Super-Nova-Smoore_p_68.html

Instructions are rock simple, put the five dollar gizzie on your battery and the Omicron cart on top, push the button, breathe deeply.....repeat.

I have had personal use with the Omicron and Thermovape Revolution (I own a thermovape) I was one of the first to order the Revo and I didnt like it from the day I got it. Seemed to take to long to heat up and never produced consistent rips, maybe 1-2 fat good ones off a packed window with a few wispy dinky hits, too much fiddling and packing and messiness.

This was over a year ago, and I dont live in a medical state so I cant try out all sorts of oils. So thermovape been sitting alone for a long time.

Tried a G Pen with their new Glass Oil Tank the other day at my buddies house.. he packed it up for me and WOW. 3-4 big ass rips I couldnt take any more. This is the closest I have come to actually taking a dab off my quartz nail and dome. Went back over there last night to try again and it worked great again.

I read all the posts in this thread and there is alot of hate over the wick tanks. Well, I have zero expierence with the wick tanks as I havent tried them but I dont think grenco should even include them/sell them anymore if thats the case

So I ordered the whole set for 40% off this morning (cyber monday sale) and I got an extra battery, charger and carrying case.

I will report back when it arrives with my initial test. The oil I use is usually get is the more slick honey stuff or amber glass

Also I got the glass tanks too - they took for-fucking-ever to get here but when I got them I was pleasantly surprised. It's like a portable coil nail. No wick, a bit of a learning curve but it's pretty cool. Worth $25, not $50, but it made me switch back over from co2 oil for a while.

Thats the only tank I have tried. From what I have read and heard, throw away those wick tanks. I was getting massive dab size rips off of that glass tank nail and I am not even gonna waste any precious oil on the wick.

Yeah 50% off it sucks because I ordered at 3 am this morning to get their highest tier of 40% off!! and ordered a bunch of stuff too. maybe I can have them price match it

MicroG is considerably better than the Gpen. Better quality hits..and even though there isnt a tank, you can still put a sizable amount in the chamber.
