I find the vapor in on demand mode using the Frolic to be similar and maybe slightly cooler/smoother than the TM2 but the TafĆØ Bowle has about the smoothest /coolest vapor in my opinion if I remember correctly. It’s got a smaller mass heater but I believe it may be more direct than the TinyMight 2 snd Frolic. Both the Frolic and TM2 have very similar style heaters and I think the Frolics added cooling with its longer vapor path edges out the TM2 but I might give the TM2 slightly better flavor than the Frolic, thanks to its direct vapor path with glass. It’s quite subjective though…I Prefer the design of the Frolic over the TM2 but they are both outstanding, quality vaporizers.
Great point. At the end of the day, I think all these vapes are in the upper-echelon of the best battery vapes on the planet right now. There are differences between them that come down to personal taste but they are all worthy vapes.

I only have the TB2 and Frolic to compare and I went down the rabbit hole of trying to get the Frolic to hit like the TB2 initially, because it was the best reference I had. Now that I'm learning how to tweak the Frolic more, I've found airflow and temp settings that can mimic the TB2 but also settings that can't be replicated with the TB2.

The TB2 is really amazing in that the presets and the stem will give the vast majority of people an excellent range of hits with little to no effort. The Frolic isn't limited by airflow or temperature much really so you can get the best out of it but it may take longer to learn. So for example @dimmusp, if this reviewer finds the vapor hotter and harsher, it may be just that the temps are too high and they haven't dialed it in all the way yet. This stuff is very subjective as that hasn't been my experience with the Frolic if you tame the temps.

What are yall doing to get the best vapor results native? I feel like I could be getting more and want to mess around with temps and airflow

Also where can I order more screens and o rings? Anyone have some that work even if not the same
Storz and Bickel crafty/mighty/Venty screens are essentially the same size, at least for the Frolic chamber

Ok here is the oven and cu after one two-minute session and two on demand sessions going to 25+ cloudy puffs. The oven side is perfectly clean and the bottom layer of cotton was still clean with all the hash mixing with the fibers in the remaining 2/3 of the AVLP capsule.

I probably had half of the capsule loaded with hash volume-wise which is more than i usually do because I was pretty heavy handed with my excitement and curiosity at the power level of this little beauty.

I stirred it about 15-20 draws (average 5 seconds per draw if I guessed) in and there was about half of it gone from what I could gather. I had the first 5 or so at 400F, then for the next 15 draws or so over a couple on demand sessions I quickly stepped up to 420F and stayed there.

After I stirred a took a few more then put it to 430 and it was outputting a lot more than before but also started tasting not so good.

I think 415-420F is a great spot to ride from this one cap so far. I am extremely impressed with how well it extracted overall.

I cannot wait to try fresh flower on this thing.

Im not sure if it's been mentioned before but with the straight mouthpiece that comes installed I have appreciated the fact I can easily adjust airflow on the fly in the middle of using it by just holding it in place with my lips while drawing and turning the body. I did this to prime the capsule with an initial heat soak each session to get it going and could see a lot of fun playing with that using flower. It's ergonomic feeling and not something I think I've experienced before.

Very happy so far!

Edit: after I posted the pic I noticed the image had what looked like dark areas on the oven screen. I checked and it was just a shadow. It's shiny silver still all over and totally clean.

Now one thing that he stresses even after he falls in love with the Frolic's on-demand mode is that the vapor is very dry and harsh, with the TB2 being much "smoother".

And that's very surprising because almost everyone else has said that the Frolic's cooling unit does a great job and the vapor is comparable to the TB2...

Has anyone else with a sensitive throat tried the Frolic?
Yeah, that was kinda strange, you're right. Also, he did claim early on that HE has a sensitive throat and then goes on to exhale HUUUUGE clouds without even a bit of coughing. I claim "sensitive throat" for myself, and I only just recently learned to use the TM2 natively and am greatly enjoying it using a Grav Upline Taster as stem. So I am really interested in how the Frolic will feel to my throat.

I really like my Crafty+ and Venty, but the non-replaceable batteries prevent me from using them as my daily drivers. I just don't want to deal with getting the batteries replaced. Plus, I really want a good on demand device. Long sessions are just not what I want during the day. A quick hit or two every now and then is what I'm looking for. Here's where I got a TM2. Unfortunately I could never deal with the short glass and long titanium stems, way to rough for me. Also, I am not really a fan of loading stems, I much prefer S&B type bowls. For on-the-go-use, the TM2 never made the cut. No capsules that would work for me, too beautiful for the outdoor life, stem loading, need for additional batteries.

Enter the Frolic, essentially Crafty form factor, just bigger, S&B style bowl, no glass parts to break, big fat battery that is also replaceable. This could very well make me very happy, IF it doesn't rip me apart :-)

I’m with you there on the glass stems of the TM2 and much prefer the bowl style of the Frolic or S&B vaporizers. I really enjoy the TM2 but the Frolic is quite a bit easier to use and more convenient imo and you can easily pass this device to someone unfamiliar with vapes snd they’ll have no problem.

I’ve been vaping the Frolic on-demand at 375f and I find the vapor comfortable but powerful. I typically get a wispy visible vapor on the first draw and a good cloud the 2nd and by the 3rd the device is rolling good. Towards the end of the draw it can get a bit harsher but take a shorter draw if that’s an issue and it’s never made my throat uncomfortable yet or cough.

You have quite a bit more control with the Frolic over the TM2 as you can adjust the draw and I’ve found that I typically like a little tighter, less airy draw but the more airflow seems to make the vapor smoother than having it closed down some. What are others setting their airflow at?

Anyone from Canada received theirs? How much extra did you have to pay for duties?
I got mine to Canada shipped from the UK. I think I paid about $27 in duties.

Yeah, it's great to easily adjust the airflow on-demand. I like starting bowls with the airflow restricted to around 30% open and then slowly move to about 50% open when the vapor starts flowing easily.

hi, long time listener first time caller. i used to use a dynavap + simrell stem + wand IH before eventually transitioning to dabs (i currently use a Pocket Rocket Tuggler Bundle from The Dab Hut as my daily driver - really great company that I can't recommend highly enough; they also offer ball vapes!)

after doing a fair bit of research, i ended up pulling the trigger on one of these as a birthday gift for my girlfriend. i'm (secretly) trying to get her off of combustion; she got herself a Pax Mini that she doesn't like so i'm hopeful the Frolic will be a better device for her. I had almost ordered her a Venty or TM2, but all the glowing reviews in this thread PLUS seeing how awesome their customer service is, made it a no-brainer. her birthday isn't until the 23rd and the Frolic is predicted to arrive today or tomorrow...it's gonna be hard not opening it up and trying it for myself!

mostly just wanted to say hi and thanks to everyone sharing their experiences in this thread, i feel really good about my decision to get her one of these and am excited to help her get it dialed in :)

I will finally have time tomorrow to go through all the posts and answer any I have missed.
First, I wanted to say something I have been putting off saying for a while, hope I can do so without sounding pathetic.

I wanted to thank everyone who put their trust in me on this journey. Maja, Liam, my faithful team and the people from here, you. I have been designing and making vape mods for a decade and honestly, most if not all of my friends come from there and from recently, from here, because those are my kind of people. Plus nobody else wants to be friends with me...

I mean, I came out of nowhere and people here were, I will say, real. As long as we are open and honest, we can move forward and get better, so good or bad, thank you.

Regarding the Frolic, this is my first attempt at designing a DHV and the idea was to create a device for the connoisseur. Which means a lot of options, a lot of tinkering, tuning and a learning curve in order to achieve a tailored experience. And while this may not be everyone's cup of tea, the Frolic will deliver a good result in basically every setting, with the freedom to fine tune it to your own liking and having a lot of fun along the way.

Whether the Frolic is a good or a bad product. If you interacted with the Frolic, had a good time using it, you had new moments chatting with like-minded people about it and all of the above put a smile on your face... Yeah it's good. Regardless of the maths behind it, its flaws and virtues, it's the positive vibes that matter.

You mentioned Nikola, the horse breeder, part time basketball player šŸ˜„. Him, Novak, most like minded people from Serbia, the ones who came from nothing and haven't given up, have developed a certain mindset, a superpower if you like. Even though I have not achieved what they have, I have lived this understand this and have this in me.

Limelight is here to stay, this is the beginning of the journey to the top and a process which cannot be stopped.

Stay great.

…spent all day yesterday putting it through its paces…it’s no hyperbole, this thing is solid..fast heat up..tremendous taste, full extractions in 3-4 hits. ..bought the molicel 45A 4500mah from IMR (they were sold ou of the 5000mah)…works great..thanks high 420 for online vide of cleaning the cooling unit. I agree it’s up there with the best TM2, TB2, Venty, Arizer3, (I add davinci3, to this list,…works for me…lol). What a wonderful time to be alive…(well at least for weed consumption).

Every day I stray further from limelight's light.

Low profile 510 drip tip adapter, which was actually my original desire/plan from the moment I saw the first frolic images. I think it looks so incredible and really compliments the "cyber brick" nature of the frolic.

XMAX/POTV/HR dosing cap adapter, recessed into the top. I'm really proud and pleased with how this turned out, given that it was a first try I made from scrap. Tolerances are such that the dosing cap doesn't even rattle back and forth more than a mm, which means that I nailed the depth of the adapter into the oven, as well as the depth of the cap in the adapter!

Obviously, I sacrifice airflow and load capacity. I just really like dosing caps and wanted to change strains before I'd finished what was in the frolic, and realized how easy that would be if it just took caps. I could ~make~ custom dosing caps for the frolic, but I have a whole ecosystem of this size caps and loading trays and carriers, including devices for them, so I went that route first.

PSA, take Vgoodiez advice and choose something other than USPS. I was suppose to get delivery today on the Frolic. It landed in my city in the middle of the night last night, then got re-routed to another city hours away.
It was shipped priority mail too. Vgoodiez processed immediately and was picked up hours later. I guess I’ll hope for delivery tomorrow. So far it will be 5 business days from GA to FL (connected states)

USPS does seem to have some challenges in that part of the country lately. My Frolic (ordered late Thursday from vgoodiez and shipping to the midwest) made it as far as North Carolina. Estimated delivery still says today but the last update is NC yesterday afternoon so that seems unlikely. I'm not concerned, it gets here when it gets here and USPS does "usually always eventually" get the package where it needs to be.

It’s the whole country. USPS is getting squeezed and there isn’t enough labor to do the job well. This causes a backup in the mail rooms. Management will come through and start yelling. To clear out the mailroom and make management happy, workers will just start shoveling packages onto trucks, no matter the destination. That’s how you see scans at totally random locations nowhere near the destination or origin.

Hi there friends and hi there @Dejan LimelightHerb

Your message was touching, I sincerely wish you the best, personally and for Limelight :luv:

Now for the feedbacks : ordered (EU stocks) during the week-end, and the unit has just been dispatched, so good on that for the logistics.

But bad point unfortunately for the selected courier, which is Colis PrivƩ, it's the WORST courier in France, and by far (2.3 on trust pilot for 95000 + ratings), you can check Google for their bad reputation.

I'll let you know how my experience will be with this package, but to be honest it's not the right courrier for high end devices / packages / delivery experiences.

See you soon and have a good day :)

Well, sucks to hear it's not just me but thanks for the reissuance.

Damn, that's sad. But, very logical. Thanks for the inside scoop.

Have to be honest I was a bit surprised mine has been sent out by Royal mail tracked 48 for such an expensive vape, I could be wrong but im sure your only covered for Ā£150 if it goes missing, not to mention the 2-3 day wait šŸ˜†

Loving my Frolic. Tasty all the way until the end. Battery life is great too.

I messaged the company about two issues:
-Similar to someone else, my unit has a buzzing sound that pulses when in use. I believe there is a way to fix this.

-I received a ā€œdevice too hotā€ message which caused it to auto shut off during a session. The other factors were
::the battery had been charging, got to maybe 75%. Pulled it out the external charger, and ran a session with a TM2 capsule. Did a second session, back to back with another capsule. That second capsule is when the message occurred. Turned it back on, and it happened again. Had to let it cool. This only happened one time, and I haven’t used the capsules since. May of been those, the battery, or unit.

I’ve had this occur 3 times (first couple days of use…. not since). Device ā€œrecoveredā€ very quickly each time — as I could just turn the device back on, and it was like the error never occurred. I actually didn’t mind the message/shut off — as with my TB2 I’m always (overly?) paranoid about letting the heater run too long without inhaling, etc.

More idiot proof is not a bad thing for some of us.

We didn’t have the same experience. Turned mine back on and it happened again, and shut off. Had to give it some time
