Butane dry herb suggestion

I’m looking to get into the world of butane dry herb vaporizer. Any recommendations of a good product to get the overall experience to see if I like this method better than battery powered or on top of? I know there’s 1 million different brands and combinations of products from each brand, but for an all in one unit any thoughts on who to go with? I’m not concerned about the cost it’s more of the experience to see if I like this method. Bonus points if you can use an induction heater for it versus a butane torch.

you didn't state how much you wanted to spend? -or- whether you wanted to go through a water piece. $15 can get you a Vaphit economy model up to the sky's the limit. Lots of good options

My vote goes for my homemade Terpcicle - best bang for the buck (needs a good torch)

I don't care about the cost for the right product. Regarding going through water, yes that is a possibility but if people recommended a great XX product that isn't adaptable then that's fine. I'm sure I'll purchase more different models that are water capable down the line.

Butane TEDs are a pretty big space right now so it's hard to pin down one choice.

There are TEDs that are ball vapes using mostly convection ( Tempest2, Thermal Accumulator, Stunner ) - IH compatible
TEDs just using metal mass as a heat source that are convection (Convector) or hybrid convection/conduction (Dynavap, Fusion2, Anvil, Tornado) - IH compatible
Glass on glass TEDs that are hybrid convection/conduction (Terpicle, Vaponic, etc.) - These are not IH compatible

There are great vapes in all 3 of these styles so maybe if you are attracted to a particular TED type, you could narrow down your search. I could recommend a simple Dynavap M7 or M7XL that gives a decent hit and is easy to use if you just want a feel for the space.

just gotta say great job explaining the type & technology of all these types of vaporizers & categorizing them. I was just wondering where Camouflet various models but especially the ceramic one would fit in.

Just to add to your comment, i ended up getting a DV M7 as my first & I thought its a great first vaporizer in this general category as well.

Well they never said that's all they were looking for, they only said butane, so that could mean that they would be interested in sticky bricks or vapman or lotus...

And taking this other opportunity to say again how much I hate the term TED, like why wouldn't you just say vape, here, as you did as well lol Its just such a meaningless nonsense acronym that serves no purpose

I love my lotus very much! This would be my suggestion for you to start. Also take a look at our manual vape thread for more inspiration.

Yes, totally correct. I realized after posting that I forgot these types of butane vapes - sticky brick types that have butane in the vapor path, and other non-cigar style vapes like the Vapman and lotus. These are all generally not IH compatible but worth exploring too.
