Recently used vapes and vapes to look forward to!

Lazy days of summer are starting here in Canada. Here's a two part question:

What vapes are you enjoying right now, and what vapes do you have your eye on?

Right now at home I've been hitting the Bowle2 non stop. It's just too easy and so so tasty. Three seconds to load and be ripping. What's not to like?

When I feel saucy, I've been hitting the Couchlog directly using a BB9 with an OG Camouflet Convector tip (that fits in the CL perfectly!). Fat, juicy, joint like rips over and over with great flavor.

What I'm looking forward to are two things. I really want to try a Frolic. Pretty much a foregone conclusion I will get one. A more portable TB2 that uses a replaceable 21700 battery and has a session mode too? Um, yes please.

Also really excited for the AVLP2 that is coming soon. Got it for the 99$ early upgrade price. Great bargain for an awesome portable.

I am currently using the ruby twist ball vape with a Tinymight2 stem. Is a bit unconventional but as it is part ball vape and part TM2 it works so so good. I mean is only the TM2 stem but still hits so so good. I did do same with 2 J hooks but it is just not the same. The TM2 stem am using is the long dimpled version.

The vapes things I am looking forwards to are this

The High Airflow Recycling Matrix Bubbler (The HARM-Bubbler)

Also the Vapvana - Natural looks interesting but I doubt will buy one.

I really need to sort all my vapes and accessories out and put them all in one place.

Ive been using my zx quite a bit. M+ and minivap also have seen some use. Lately though, my attention has been taken by my new vapman. And it's soon to be incoming station

Looking to pick up a flowerkettle later this year.

Also have my eye on a vapbong
Wow, The FlowerKettle and the Vapvana Natural.... nice. You guys are looking at some really high quality "endgame" desktop stuff.

I often think about these types of high end rigs but haven't pulled the trigger yet.

Well, as for me, I've done the buy every new thing that comes out. So I just decided. Spend the money once, be happy, save money in the long run.

Also my minivap was my endgame vape originally. But then, i started vaping back in 2009

I'm still real new with my vaporizer exposure. I bought a POTV Lobo this past 420 sale, but i find i hardly use it as much as my manual vapes at home. So mostly like Terpcicle, Vaponic , Vaphit and DV for me.

I do like dabs from time to time so i have a few things like a Pivot and some other custom bubbler recycler type devices. I also have some new bangers to play with along with a live temp carb cap tool. (surprising)

If i were looking to try something new with my VAS journey it would probably be some type of Log Vaporizers. What should i be looking at?

I like the log style. If going small chamber then a traditional one like an underdog, heat island, or enano. I think they are best when paired with a wpa adapter in wood or glass. If I lived alone, I would own a ZX, so look into that one as an end game desktop dry herb vape. Between my three here in rotation: log, tempest and vapman the log wins the reach test.

between the convector-dynaverse, AVLPs and Neo I've settled into a nice low tolerance plateau, got no need for a desktop or Glass setup, and I don't miss the TM2 enough to spring for the black one upcoming, although it's top of the list when I win the lottery, lol.

I do have an Inductor on the way and do occasional dabs with wand or Quomo , It's enough but VAS is an addiction, always there under the surface. I'm a big fan of simple and lazy ease of use, don't see me getting anything I got to thread the bowl on, so threaded teds (S engine, TA, tempest anvil) are not gonna win the reach test, too many fiddly bits!!! no balls either for that same reason

Love the fine assortment of devices you have collected. I can appreciate from an aesthetic sense why it is so much fun to collect, but please tell me is there any major difference in how these devices perform to you as the user? (maybe a bit vague, so think taste , strength of hit etc) What becomes the discriminator when you have so many? What do you reach for?

I have been using a Vapman and Musa pretty consistently for almost two weeks. I usually switch it up more frequently, but have been pretty busy recently. Plus I didn’t really mind, because both are absolute winners.
Looking forward to my Toad arriving as soon as Dan finishes up for my Nomad brethren. Shout out to all those folks for hanging in there!

Do you favor stem or wpa use with your cl? What’s your favorite wpa for it?
I used it as an injector for the longest time and I've tried bowls made of glass, wood and the original stainless bowl. Glass (vGoodiez injector bowl) tasted the best but alas, glass bowls break so I tried a wood bowl from DFreez and it was also really good. The original metal bowl used as a WPA with the wooden stem gives a very efficient roast and they all taste pretty great. The DFreez CL bowl might actually be my favorite.

Lately I've been hitting it a lot with a stem, so the way I use the CL comes and goes in phases. Its versatility is one of the reasons I got it as my first desktop vape. If you dial the temps down, native hits with a stem are really, really tasty. It completely reignited some dynavap use for me because you can remove the native CL metal bowl from the stock stem and a dynavap tip fits perfectly through the center of it. You can then hit it directly with any DV tip and stem you like.

The OG Camouflet Convector tip fits the CL so perfectly that you don't even need the CL metal bowl to guide your hit like with DV tips. I've been using a BB9 as a stem with a Convector tip. Hitting the CL natively is a super nice convection hit that feels like you're hitting a joint. The harder you pull the hotter your hit because the stored heat in the CL can keep up and the flower is very close to the heater, so it feels like the cherry on a joint. There's not much conduction happening at all so it feels very different than a typical DV hit. It's much tastier due to the short vapor path and pure convection and it's great for microdosing.

I like to load up several at one time and sip on them throughout the day,
The dynaverse has a bit of variation to different tip/stem/mp/condenser/coolingspirals, combinations Cooling vs draw restriction; but they all get to the same space pretty much, and since I'm going to that space frequently I like to enjoy the ride, look at pretty things that I truly enjoyed curating, are beautiful to hold and ponder while medicating. I like to use my "art" collection.
Dynas are a convection/conduction blend, convectors are mostly/all convection.
Ceramo & Dovetail/CXL usually win the reach test but I like to use them all.
the cxl allows a wide flat puck of herb that lets a greater volume of hot air go over larger sq. mm of surface area of grinds at one time creating a bigger explosion of flavor that dynas cannot match. With a shorter heat-up time.

I’ve been hitting the firefly 2+ daily. Will be purchasing a TinyMight 2 walnut very very soon for summer. In the next 1-2 weeks.

thank you so much for posting that. Just to confirm the two devices you posted are the Camouflet correct? Ceramo (ceramic) & CXL and both have wooden stems covering? Is the diameter of these larger than the 8 mm DV?

The Enano XL is still doing the main work for me at home, with my GTR now in my office for quick little rips at my desk.

Out and about it's usually the Dreamwood Glow and/or a cart/disposable vape, although I try to limit the disposables I buy, hate the waste! But then some brands prefer making those than carts 🤷🏽‍♂️

I'm not that excited about anything new coming out, but I have been strongly thinking about buying a Dreamwood Roasty.

Thank you! So much great information here. Im glad you like using it so many ways. The versatility is what has me leaning OG but it’s hard not to appreciate the XL too

No problem!

I feel I need to add one more piece of info though. As versatile as the CL is, if you're a heavy user that will be having bowls back-to-back with little or no downtime, then I might suggest the CL XL. I have noticed that you if you rip the CL hard, for example as an injector with a glass bowl where the flower is further from the heater, then you can exhaust the heat battery and would need to wait approx 10min for the CL to get back to stable temps for the next bowl.

The recovery time is much shorter (< 1min) for the native stainless bowl when the CL is used as an injector, or when hitting it natively with a DV or the original stem it ships with. Just fyi. For some heavy users this is an issue.
