Neat! I like the all in one nature of this, as well as the safety of swinging the plate up away for heating. Brilliant design, really, especially for the time. Looks extremely easy to use and get good results from, without being precarious and dangerous.

I'd like to nominate the Solo3 as a great hash performer. I'm not really sure why it doesn't get more attention in this regard. I use screened WPAs with the hash (usually dry sift or bubble) crumbled into a pancake on top of some vaping cotton or flower. The new heater is a beast and the hybrid heat brings the goods. I like to use a hook or dry rig and I get very thorough extraction above 400F. Probably will work well with lebanese style hash too but the key is to flatten as much as possible for the best surface area.

For almost a decade it was the main widely used dab method, I started distributing them late 2003, the first dome and nail was 2009 by TORO, and the first banger was 2012. I still make them, sold a nice one to a person in Denmark recently

I recognized the glass hook styling in that, then saw the HMK, then put your name together with that in one shining flash. You're HMKglass!!!! You do amazing work.
Really impressed with that Ti pad swing design, whatever the time. If I dabbed I think I might prefer having a wide hot plate and compact unit like yours over other options. I can see why you still produce them for people.

I got a swing and vapor curve setup with a pipe by a different maker. I don't dab but I'll have to try it out some day.

Not a bad copy, I like the top handle but the wrap looks a but weak. If it ever needs a redo I can do that.

Gone manual for an extended trip away from home
I have had to make a(nother) trip away from my usual vapes and herb supply in Oregon to stay in Michigan for a few months. I decided to take a couple of manual vape faves, my Lotus and Vapman, to accompany me. Since I was driving this time, I took about 20 vials of pre-ground along (they’re in the two black cases on the left, re-purposed eyeglass cases).
Unfortunately, my tried-and-true Vertigo Serpent began acting up a bit, and finally broke down altogether (you can see that its trigger is suffering “ED”). I ended up ordering a couple of new torches, one of which has arrived already, the smaller and thinner Honest Promise, which has a very tight, narrow flame, but is a bit awkward to aim, since it it “straight out”, rather than angled.
I suppose the other notable thing about this picture is that the Lotus is an OG (non-Italian) model, with the extra-long black pipe and the larger “saucer” disk.
I have been enjoying putting these two manuals “up front” as my daily drivers and getting to know them better—they often ride side-car at home to my desktop/plug-ins.

Ah, that’s a “mucus clearance device” (I’d rather not mention the brand name, as I don’t want to be seen as shilling). Shaped and held like an inhaler, but you blow out through it instead (and the ball clacks, yielding a “pulse” which is supposed to mimic a CF-style chest pounding). Anyway, I have been experimenting with it as an adjunct to vaping, hoping to clear out any leftovers in my lungs. Not sure if it works as advertised, but it seems to help. (Also yields a bit of that “stoner high” effect if I use for a full 15 minutes … probably from similar oxygen deprivation
.)

I think the term is “sploof”, but perhaps that is specific to the dryer-sheet-in-a-toilet -paper-roll version beloved of teenager smokers. (I have a manufactured Smoke Buddy, but rarely use it anymore, as it just doesn’t seem necessary with vapor, or at least my vapes.)

I like my vaporizers world tour...
- it is Almost all "ritual vaporizers"
- The four are really very different, so I really "travel"... plus, they're all such aesthetically pleasing vaporizers...
- It breaks my tolerance, and I'm in another world afterward...
- Manual or not... I get exactly the results I like!
- Generally, I finish my world tour with one of Dan Morrison's devices, then extend the pleasure with this one
