So as expected these stand designs are just too expensive from this material.

With the guard they'd be at least $300+ so it's kinda coming back why I've put off doing anything like this.

I will continue to explore some other options, prob have to seriously consider some other materials; but in the meantime the ZXL preorder will be launching this week as planned to move forward on that.

Thanks to everyone rocking with the Z Team

Alright: Been lurking and learning for a while, and finally felt compelled to share my thoughts on the Phase3 ZX Ball Vape. I’ve been chasing that perfect one-hitter, something that can deliver those terpy first hits without needing a massive bowl. Well, I think I might have found it.

My relationship with the ZX had a slightly rocky start, I won’t lie. The first few bowls were… a little underwhelming. Vapor production was minimal, and I was scratching my head trying to figure out what was going on. It felt like the ZX needed to settle in (maybe it's the Swiss alpine air?), find its groove in my vape den, if you will. I played around with the temperature, bumped it up a bit, and really focused on my draw technique. Whatever it was, it clicked.

Now, the ZX has become my daily driver. What really seals the deal for me is its knack for one-hit extraction without needing a mountain of flower. I’m talking about the top position on the Zirc Bowl – I’m probably loading less than 0.05g in there, and I’m getting a long, satisfying pull of pure terpenes. After that initial hit, I often let the heater sit on the bowl for a minute or two and go in for a cleanup hit, which gives a nice little touch of conduction. It’s seriously efficient and incredibly flavorful.

But here’s where things got really interesting. I decided to try some classic old-school hash, the kind that’s still pretty common around here. Cranked up the temperature a bit, and the ZX just annihilated it, breaking it down beautifully into a surprisingly smooth and tasty vapor. Seriously, I let out a little “wow” – it handled it like a champ.

Regarding the bowls, I have both the original P3 glass bowl and the Joda Glass bowl. To be honest, they don’t see much action. It’s not really a knock on the bowls themselves, but they just don’t align with my current focus on micro-dosing and one-hit extractions. For larger bowls, my eyes tend to wander over to other vapes in my collection (looking at you, upcoming ZXXL!), but that happens much less frequently now that the ZX is in the rotation.

I did have to do a little 14mm glassware upgrade, as I was mostly rocking 18mm joints. What works exceptionally well with the ZX is the Sherlock Shredder from THG. However, my absolute favorites for unfiltered flavor are the J-Hooks from Pharrowglass and High Artisan. They just let those terpenes shine.

TL;DR: the ZX is a fantastic vape and, for me, the ideal one-hit extraction machine. It’s exactly what I was hoping for. Now, I’m eagerly awaiting the ZXXL release and curious to see what else Ryan has up his sleeve. I have a feeling there are more exciting things to come.

Big thanks, Ryan – well done!:love:

If you want to use glass as a bowl, try a glass WPA for Vapcaps. You can fit in a screen and the ZX slides nicely over it - it is the same concept as the Crossing Tech Microdose Glass Bowl.

Thanks for the tip! The two glass bowls I mentioned actually work wonderfully. It's just that the 3-position Zirc bowl is so good and perfectly suited for my needs (and for the ZX heater) that I haven't found a reason to use any other bowl.

Is it with the handle or the wood? Just wondering if it’s gonna be a stateside fix or back to the manufacturer?

It appears to be an issue with the handles,

Hoping to get the parts replaced and mailed out with the incoming ZX’s.

Still working with my MFG on a resolution.

I can not / will not knowingly send out bad parts so I sincerely appreciate everyone’s understanding and cooperation. ❤️

Outstanding write up friend, the ZX has a real habit of winning the reach test! Always LOVE to read it! Appreciate everyone holding it down in terp town!! And I always appreciate with people acknowledge the ZX's efficiency, I truly feel this is one device that genuinely pays for itself just in herb savings for any serious enthusiast!

The ZX definitely shreds with real hash and even works with live rosin with the right considerations 😁

Yeah I’m definitely getting back in the game, trying to get it together and just gonna start dropping new gear soon for the ‘Tribe.

A while ago last year I started working on a more budget friendly coil crib / hot hole home / whatever you want to call it -
Did some testing, ordered a sample, didn't like it, redesigned it, and then got distracted and onto the next project.
But I think there is still room in the market for a nice solution here at a compelling price point to be able to offer for future wireless projects/ZXXLs/etc.

Appreciate everyone looking forward to more P3 tools and toys!

Still half a year left to make a big splash, cheers to everyone following along and supporting the vision.

Just a dude
So inverted, I just saw the ZXL preorder is up on the site! Woohoo! Gonna have to wait till the first of the month before I can pull the trigger but I’m definitely down.

I did notice on the product page, it says the expected shipping date is June 1, 2025. Is that correct? How long is the preorder for? Just want to make sure I get in before it closes. Thanks my friend!
