Phase3 Vaporizers

Went back ~100 pages to the last ZXL drop to make sure this is the right Z for me. It was mentioned the ZX's smaller design with an optimal load of ~100mg will be smoother than the same amount in a ZXL due to a larger % of the bowl being filled with material.

When using the ZXL at its sweet spot, say 200mg, will we see that same ZX smoothness return with the fuller bowl? Or are we looking at a "harsher" hit relative to the ZX regardless of qty consumed ?

My individual bowl sizes are around 100 - 130mg and it takes two of them, usually, to be where I want to be. Smaller bowls provide a better, tastier extraction with my current setup, but I'd rather be able to load 200-250mg and have a mega tasty one hitter with a clean up. Given the ZXL is released far less often than the ZX I think it's a "safer" choice in that it will be easier to snag a ZX in the future if that's where my consumption takes me and I won't be kicking myself for missing out on the L :)

A bit hard to say as it's rather subjective as well as this new ZXL will have the option of adding the 14MM bowl which is aimed at smaller doses.
It's about half the capacity of the 18MM ZXL bowl. Quite similar to the capacity of the 3 shelf ZX bowl at the largest setting.

Sounds like a winning formula (and like I'll be buying two bowls...and a stand). Thanks!

the only trick when i looked into them is that the metric ones (16mm, etc) may have metric threads in the hole so you might have to find the closest fitting imperial one to get imperial threads. If I recall, one of the metric sizes (m4? m5?) is close enough to the threaded handles that we use that it can be used.

I love that second one! the changeable disc is a great idea. tracking down titanium heatposts in certain sizes is a pita!
I love to have a CH style holder. That would be sweet with my setup.

yeah, i am a sucker for machined metal bits. as soon as i saw the ch aesthetics I knew I was going that route. Someone in this group turned me on to the the sko post. but for example if i wanted to build one for an 18mm injector i have no idea where i would get the heat post! Actually I do lol, I would ask on FC and an ent who has come before me would drop the goods <3

Edit: Actually it seems both the CH and TKO heatposts would support both 18mm injectors as well as diffuser heads. i just verified this with the ch heat post. Oh shit, maybe now I'm the ent dropping the goods!

The upcoming ZXL will be available for preorder for the first time with custom zirconia chambers in both 18MM and 14MM terminations, or the option to receive both bowls (at a discount)

Pre order link incoming when I get updated pricing 🙃

Yeah it would be a bit more affordable but I’m always trying to add as much tech value as I can.
Interest/demand is the most important factor because if more people want something I can buy more and offer better pricing!

A lot of ZX owners appreciate it specifically for the efficiency so I think it's true that not every ZX owner is going to be a ZXL customer, but it is also true that nearly every ZXL buyer is a ZX owner!

There was a bit of concern that that could be an issue but so far no problems there!
Will report more on this shortly, thanks so much for your cooperation friends!

long time lurker and long time ZX fan, finally getting around to saying hello here. I got my ZX close to 2 years ago, as my 3rd or 4th ball vape, followed rapidly by preordering the first gen zirc bowl (before the o-ring solution was even included - you sent them separately after the fact - thanks for that). A whole lot has been said over the last couple hundred pages, so my apologies if this gets long.

The ZX was the device that made me realize that my preferred method of consumption is the small, quick, one hit bowl (maybe with a cleanup hit), repeated as needed, and that I would much rather reload and have two (or 3, 4, 8, whatever) small fresh tasting bowls than one larger bowl that tastes like crap at the halfway point. The ZX is absolutely perfect for this and is why it is the only desktop I continue to use. However, I would still pre-order the ZXL with both bowl joint sizes if you reopened them, just to have the option of launching myself or a guest right the hell into space. I would prefer the 20mm coil just because they're easier for me to source and to stretch or reshape if needed, than 16mm coils.

I would also be a buyer for a zirc tm2 stem with 14mm taper. I would prefer a taper that included the shoulder for use with keck clips, and some sort of optional or removable mouthpiece and/or cooling solution - I'm sure you've got thoughts for those kinds of things - but even just the design you showed would be an instant buy from me.

I absolutely prefer stands with a guard and am currently using a CH stand. Your stand with the threaded insert looks great to me but pricing would be a big factor on whether I grabbed it.

A simple conversion of the existing ZX to wireless doesn't interest me, it seems to me that it sacrifices much of what makes the ZX so great in my mind, the seemingly bottomless heat and instant return to temp, but if you managed to create something with a sufficient thermal battery that it could keep up with back to back bowls... yeah I'd be a buyer for that too ...

Lest I sound like too much of a fan boy, I do have to say I dislike the viton o-ring handle solution. It gets too hot for me to comfortably handle after a couple bowls. I came up with a solution similar to the recently-posted copper wire handle, made with stainless instead of copper, and that works fairly well but doesn't match the clean lines so I'm always looking for better options to fix the one small blemish in the experience.

So to summarize: ZX head is perfect, don't change a thing.
+1 ZXL order request.
+1 TM2 stem request.
+1 threaded stand with guard request.
+1 Phase3 "new well-engineered wireless baller" request.
