It's more expensive to test for terps. Some vendors do though.Interesting. Why don't the on-line vendors display the terps? I require high Myrcene.
It’s the same weed….bud tenders would say that, big alcohol is also against it. I just been buying this stuff for a month just spend some money and find out. Not saying to buy that $100 ounce but try an 8th…But I’m gonna say if your fancy and a top shelf only person who dabs daily and tops every bowl with hash and eats edibles like candy that maybe that $100 ounce won’t hit the same. In my research I do see people who say they don’t feel anything idk. I do I’ve been blazing for 20 years it’s the same to meThere is a store here in Baltimore by the name of Chared Hemp. It is not a marijuana dispensary as it sells Thca hemp. They allege that their hemp has exactly the same effects when vaped as weed purchased from a dispensary. An ounce of varying strains of their hemp sells for $100 per ounce. They do not show the terpenes' so I dont know if there actuallly are any. I've spoken to several budtenders at weed dispensaries who claim that the Thca hemp is much harsher and has no intoxicating results. They strongly recommend against it. I'm a heavy indica user and would love to purchase an ounce at $100 .
Could someone please explain what all this means.
I tried out lucky elk recently and I will order from them again 100%. Fast shipping and They grow their own. I see a lot of people say they are expensive but it didn’t seem that way to me. I got a 15% off code for registering with them but any vendor will give you a discount code for registering as well. Hope it goes well for you with whoever you chose to purchase from.I'm too cheap to use "top shelf" stuff. I look for sales on good weed. It's hard for me to believe that THCA of .03% will provide the same effects. I have no empirical evidence to support this - just gut feeling. As suggested, I'll order a quarter from one the vendors that are recommended in this thread.

If you look at the listing by the vendors, the THC percentage is still around 20% give or take even then. So don't think of that percentage as indicating that about efficacy in this case btw it is just about the loophole. Yes definitely just try some for yourself

You can see what I mean here, see the THC percentage is still high, and they have terps listed at WNC I think for another example?
PHC Super Mochi is the best $100 zip I've ever purchased. Their concentrates are great and I liked their mixed smalls.
That Super Mochi is now $220/oz.
I'm in a legal state, occasionally look into THCA flower but haven't found comparable prices for quality herb. But guess they aren't catering to folks like me.
Have tried some type 2 Strawberry Gelati from HCF that folks were raving about, I thought it was meh which didn't look or smell like the description. I do regularly buy type 3 CBD flower from Horn Creek.

My experience with WNC has been that their rosin is okay and their lemon cherry gelato indoor living soil is amazing
Veteran Grown - Gobstoppers was great
ShopHelloMary - 818 OG smalls are the best smalls I've purchased.
Arete rosin sampler was pretty good

Nice, yeah they still have a wide variety of available now, always love smalls, but herbs have not impressed me with the ones I've tried... Just never seems fresh enough? Their CBD was on the better side, when I got a fresh one, compared to others I've tried, but still meh? Missing the flavors... They have really great live resin though, I get that regularly and have a wide variety, the rosin is okay so only worth it if really good strain etc and on sale good discount... I got their new disposable to try, I'm hoping they will offer that concentrate in another way, like jars, since it is a blend of live resin and some CBD for more full spectrum...
I have less stellar experience with them, herbs have been not good, the halle berry rosin and I tried is pretty not good but I liked the linalool at least, orangutan sugar is decent for what it is, but pretty disappointed in the death star and lemonhead badders... The best they offered, was the THCA diamond blend with CBD hash rosin, however it seems like they no longer offer this? They also used to put them in terrible square jars that would scrape plastic contaminants everywhere (getting 8ths of the badder and sugar also came in those terrible jars, but they're single gram jars are normal) I wish they would just sell the CBD hash rosin on its own, why is that so hard to find anywhere now lol
Yeah I tried a little bit of herbs from them that didn't do anything for me, and their space jam concentrates, really did not care for that at all, definitely felt more classic BHO bad, also got cheap CBD isolate powder that I hardly use hardly know what to do with haha
They are simplymary now, yeah I got herbs from them too and was less than impressed after so many virtual buddies have been loving it... They are even thrilled with their shake there lol I am done trying however, some I got were decent smalls, revived a little with my own humidity packs, because nothing seems to arrive well enough? Even if it feels more moist fresh, still doesn't seem to deliver the flavor, not really dense sticky, more dry leafy I don't know something about this hemp for me at least!? Tempted by some of the rosin brands they have now, but they are really expensive, I can probably find them local anyway maybe...
Tangie from them was pretty decent, I didn't feel like the Blue Dream was as good, but was definitely better than WNC I had (was not much a fan of their herbs but they were a little better too, not sure if I will order from them again, I guess I didn't like any of it that much because it's been a while and I haven't really considered it)
Yeah I've heard good things about HCF, but this makes me further think I should continue to not try anymore lol just need to find some good local, maybe black market fresh... The whole different types, I never see that available, I would love to get more 1:1 experience, when you have that it doesn't matter especially THCA whatever because the CBD really helps you feel everything together in the classic style, I don't know it was so much simpler back in the day, wasn't it!? At least it seemed so lol
Apologies if I've missed anything in this thread that may have explained this better, but I'm a wee bit confused by all this (well, I'm generally confused simply as my state of being, but regardless) ...
I suspect this may be a UK/US thing, but I'm unsure what the big thing about THC and THCA is, since as I understand it, most (all?) THC originates from THCA and depending on how the growing/harvesting/curing etc is done a certain amount of THCA will convert to THC.
But from the p.o.v. of activity it only really effects consumption that doesn't rely on some form of vapourisation (vaping or smoking mainly) since those routes will convert the remaining THCA to THC before it enters the body.
And of course this is also why decarboxylation is important if the cannabis isn't being vapourised. But I'm struggling to see why the ratio of THC to THCA is so important or makes much if any difference, and why call it hemp if less than 0.3% THC despite it containing plenty THCA?
In the UK this seems much more obvious and clear cut (to someone from the UK at least), because THC and THCA are legally the same thing (and to all intent and purpose are essentially the same thing pharmacologically for most users, to my knowledge), so to be able to legally buy CBD flower it's produced with no more than 0.3% THC (or THCA), and to differentiate it from illegal cannabis it's called hemp (I believe that CBD comes from CBG and by whatever method used (IDK) it replaces the conversion of CBG into THC(A)).
I could see it mattering more if the cannabis was being used to perform extractions on, as the solubility of THC and THCA are not the same, though even there, it's usually good enough to simply decarb to 100% THC (or near as possible) which is more soluble in most common solvents.
So in the US it seems to me that this question of THC/THCA ratio is mainly of little matter to most people, especially since those not vaping/smoking will need to decarb their weed whatever it's composition if they don't want an inefficient process, but that said it's certainly giving the appearance of being important - can anyone explain this to me please?
To quote John Mellancamp, "Ain't that America!"I'm not seeing any actual logical sense or even difference
Eh???!!!!
But surely that's meaningless, isn't it?
Is it me, or is this cannabis regulation gone mad?
So what is the difference with the hemp then? It sounded, to my untutored ear, like there was an actual difference between (the US version of) hemp and cannabis? If both contain essentially the same drug, and have essentially the same effect at the same (or very similar) dose?
Does hemp have different taxation or something? I'm not seeing any actual logical sense or even difference (beyond one that makes no difference!) yet.

Sheesh! That was what it sounded like, I was just having trouble getting my head round incompetence of that degree! The difference is not between hemp and cannabis. The difference is between hemp and marijuana. Both are cannabis, but legally the two are different because of how they are defined in the 2018 Farm Bill (mentioned previously) based solely on the THC content. The intent was to allow farmers to grow hemp without the same restrictions as marijuana.
Yes, it doesn't make logical sense but that's because the bill sponsors didn't understand basic cannabis science.
