I'm intrigued, but far too broke. I look forward to seeing reviews and videos on it and maybe down the line I will see if I can grab one second hand🤙

It's pretty sick, its like an oversized hyper 9 body with open airflow and a much better heater to fuel this stem. Pretty awesome product! Works great with the wand and the Tempest adapter. Other than my hyper 9 I see this phasing out most of my vapcaps.

I haven't received mine yet, but it's great to read a satisfied review of this Simrell.
Congratulations!

In your experience, is this Simrell a one-hitter?
Because I feel like it cools very quickly, and it's not the best for multiple hits? But a big, cloudy hit like Austyn does in his live demonstrations on Twitch...

So I've found you can do it both ways. With the multi heat click disks you can really dial this thing in. I'm more of a flavor guy so I put it in right below the first fin in wand, and wait for 3 seconds after the first click, and you get super tasty hits. Similar to a vapcap with an armored cap. I then wanted to test the 2nd click and the different heating styles, Hybrid right at the second click, the single hit is a massive pretty dark roast and fully extracted in one heat cycle. I almost fell out of my chair. Didn't try the conduction as that really isn't my style but I can imagine it hits hard. I really like it, especially if you already own simrell products. I think I like it more than my tempest other than the temp indicator in the tempest is great to use with headphones on.

This is a tough one. I think I like them equally and let me discuss why.

Tempest:
Pros:
  • Visual Heat indicator(great for headphone users)
  • The stem is the best stem I've ever seen. Infinite spin for torching, multiple airport paths that came with the first kit, and can adjust airflow on it.
  • The reload + the tempest is the best thing I've ever seen for hot reloads(use it with all vape cap style vapes) great for portable ball vape setup too, have debowler and 2 different strains on tap with a magnet for cooldown that is super stable.
  • Great IH compatibility. The stainless steel sleeve is a kick ass idea.
Cons:
  • The heat media I could never tune to my liking. Zirc balls are pretty decent but depending on the IH adapter death it could be real hit or miss.(I have to admit I have yet to try ruby as I have a ball vape for that)
  • Takes a decent time torching to get it up to heat.
Simrell Vape:
Pros:
  • Very consistent heating. I feel like a hunk of Titanium in the tip is the perfect way to accomplish flavor, vs quickish heating, cooldown and heat retention
  • Multiple Temp clicks is awesome.
  • Tolerances are the tightest I've ever seen in manufacturing for something like this.
  • Stem is also very good, based on condensers you can flutter the carb hole and it lets you take massive hits without coughing.
  • Multiple heating types convection vs hybrid etc. Works great in the wand with the tempest adapter too.
  • You can actually get one of these in your hands in a decent amount of time too.
Cons:
  • Not as strong magnetic connection so can't hot reload it with the Mad heaters Reload, but works great with a leather loop. I know he's coming up with a stand and other accessories so I have a hard time putting this in the con list.

Hopefully my rambling helps.

wow, thanks for taking the time to write out all of these points! all very helpful information as i’m on the fence about picking one up. i love my tempest but i have to admit, i’ve been tempted to snag one. i run my tempest fully open as i am looking for the least hot vapor possible. would you say the cooling is on par with the tempest? also, would you say flavor is better on new simrell? strictly will be using in the wand btw :)

Let me do some more wand testing tonight at different insert depths on both vapes and get back to you on flavor, avb roast and cooling. From my initial tests though, I didn't find the new Simrell device to be harsh in anyway, even when I almost combusted.

At the recommended height in the instructions it was 35 seconds to first click and 10 seconds more to the second. Absolutely ripped, hit it through a little water piece.

After doing some early testing today they are both really good out of the wand. I would say they both have different vape signatures, but both do super well at cooling and being able to set them wide open and still get tasty vapor. If its in the budget I would get one, but if not you have something equally as good just different. I would say that I the simrell vape cools down quicker so just a tad bit more one hit extraction focused I believe. I posted the wand click times down below.

Also if you have one, a scruffywoofers(on instagram) stand is amazing for the vape. Lets it cool down quickly and securely without melting stuff.

sounds great & will look into this. he is supposed to be making stands right now for the new vape. i haven’t seen any other talk or review on the device outside of this forum. there is no half bowl option, right? i love that feature on the tempest and usually rock that

I was a bit hyped about it, ngl. However, I’ve watched the stream VOD and honestly all my hype is gone. It’s too much customization for me. It seems to shoot everywhere instead of focusing on one specific thing. He praised how you can change the sleeve, but, let’s be honest, who really cares about this kind of gimmick? Also, it seems to have more parts than necessary, especially when compared to other vapes that probably deliver a better experience. It also holds 0.15g, which is comparable to Dynavaps. While the hybrid, convection and conduction options are nice, I have the feeling all of those hits are gotta have similar results and would not hold in a blind test.

I gotta be honest. To me it feels like an FMJ in a nice packet. A slightly better Dynavap in a new and pretty wrap. We’ve been past Dynavaps for a while, let’s be honest. Camouflet, Vestratto, and MadHeaters stepped in and brought new products that are just at another level, a level that Dynavap still hasn’t been able to reach. While they’re stuck in the past, this Simrell vape seems to grab on to that old glue to try to take it up.

This is my opinion. I haven’t tested the device. Maybe I’m being too harsh, but those are my thoughts.
I feel you. I've owned several simrell products in the past. The MVS was really a nice tool but I found it to have too many parts and pieces. The vortex was great.... utter simplicity. All of the Simrell pieces that passed through my hands I found to be astoundingly well made. Despite all of this, I pared down and rid myself of all but but a couple dv Omni rigs.... again for simplicity's sake.

This new rig looks interesting.... But I don't need another rig. It simply isn't enough different. And I don't need my rig to be a work of art.
