The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

Says £220 for me. The only price I remember the raw finish being listed as. It's what I paid when I got mine.
Will the differences in price be due to local taxes etc depending on where people are viewing from?

I agree that once you have the wand settings sorted the VI and clicks are not needed, I doubt very much I will be buying the calibrated click disc kit when its released as I just don't need them, the wand is such a great repeatable experience imo.
Just quoted this as I find it interesting. I've been using my thermal accumulator on a revolve V2 with great results just letting the wand time out.
Anyone any thoughts on how this set up differs from a tempest set up?

Possibly VPN, the £183 price is without the local UK tax for every customer outside of the UK. £220 is the price with 20% VAT for local customers.
I am using the same network as usual, and I’m in the US. i just refreshed and also tried the link @Jojofernz posted and still seeing 220 where I know for sure I saw 183 previously.

That’s the way most people use their tempest as far as I know. Find the temperature that works for you, and run til timeout.

Only thing is on back to back bowls, I either have to lower the temp, or pull it when it stops blinking rather than timeout

Edit:
This is what I see right now on the site. From the US. Has not changed for me.

Not sure why it happens… when you add the shipping address it should correct the price

If you own a TA and a Revolve V2, then you sort of have a Tempest by Proxy. However I would add that the adjustable airflow on the Tempest tip is game changing imo. It drastically changes the experience depending on how you are using it. If I was you I would at least pick up a Tempest tip just for that.

Also the visual indicator is great for back to back chained bowls. Being able to see the indicator move while device is in the wand has a lot of value imo.

The new batch arrived and there are some unexpected things as always… :ko:

The good:
- New airflow tubes are easier to remove, but still tight enough.
- The colors and wood sleeves are really nice.
- New heat shield o-ring (black again) is better, easier to push in place but still holds it well.

The bad:
- “final” VI’s are all a bit different so we have to make a new batch. I’ll manually adjust the ones that can be fixed which will take a few days.
- Bowl screen is now a bit too big. It stays in place very firmly though… maybe the 3rd batch 🤞

I’ll try to make as many as possible for the weekend.

Tempest wood sleeves are now Available

So the spiral & mouthpiece go into the wood sleeve? I was thinking they were going to be just additional heat shields lol. Bit unfamiliar with MH! Wonder if I should wait until I can snag a colored shield when available too.

Sorry to hear that you had some issues with the order. You say that the bowl screen is now too big. Im just wondering if the design in general is final, or if there are changes other than the temp sensors to be expected before final release in march? I would hate myself for not waiting for the final run in that case :)

You can’t tempt me like this! I told myself I would wait to order everything at once….but that wood

The design in general is final, but there are still a few parts that will need replacing which will be included in the “upgrade bundle”. You won’t miss out on anything, if something changes for the final model it will be included for you in the bundle.

Current expected changes from the latest batch to final:
- VI housing and induction layer
- VI spring
- click disc
- bowl screen

So will the new induction layer increase induction efficiency further? Impressive if so. I already find it to be very efficient. Very little heat up time considering the heat capacity of the balls.

Hello guys, sorry if it has been already said, but will the wood tempest kit be available in a few days or only the titanium kits?
Thank you :)

@Brenyo thank you for the updated VI coil. Took my shaky hands a while to finally get it installed. After timeout @320c on the wand the VI line is just shy of the middle temp line on the cap with my wand adapter at current setting. Very nice.

Hello guys
@Brenyo, on MH website, drop date changed to the 13th of January.
Does that mean no drop for tomorrow ? 😇
For me, everything is ok. My wife, my kids and my bank know there is no other way.
I told my vaporizers that i will never forget them.
My wand is very exited to meet a new friend.
I'm ready to pull the trigger
