AirVape Legacy Pro

for the oven, turn empty unit upside-down and use a tightly wound cotton q-tip dip it with 91 to 99 percent iso and rub it clean (chamber) in upside-down position.
repeat till clean and let it evaporate while in upside down position for about 5 mins or wipe it out with a fine cotton cloth.
that's my method and maybe a little extreme
Yeah, actually i did it exactly that way. In addition its maybe good to blow inside the air intake to blow out solved stuff...
My guess would be cleaning. A dirty airvape can degrade by 10% efficiency easily imo and the steampunk has only been around for a little while so possibly it isn't as dirty - don't know your usage/cleaning. Do a deep clean and maybe try again.

Also, I don't think the holes on the bottom screen of the bowl are ever meant to be cleaned. How do you even get under the bowl?
Actually i did a good clean on the og avlp before.
But i will give both og and steampunk a deep clean again. Then i will make my friend do a blind test, to check if the two vapes are giving different experiences. I will do a blind test by myself as well....
Sorry for making waves about that. But i wanted to ask others, if they made the same findings. Since i am still not Sure sbout them...

The more I use this vape the more I like it. I have been using dosing capsules and they are working well. They can be a little difficult to screw on and off sometimes. I think the press on ones like S&B might be better.

I am not panicked but I am ... so very sad.

As of last night, my ALP powers on but, no matter what temp is set, does not heat beyond 67-68° F(arenheit)! I can't figure out where to start troubleshooting. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Original battery, recharged via external charger, dosing capsules, no drops/rough treatment. So deep is my disappointment - I am putting this away for tonight (thx Roffu). Maybe things will look better in the morning. 😮‍💨
sounds about ambient temp. you sure it's not in on-demand mode instead of session?

As I sit in the bath vaping on my AVLP at 150c, chugging big clouds, I wonder how accurate the temperature is. 🤣

I was honestly getting fed up vaping. I've been fed up with the heat and sore throat I get for a while and I actually took over a week off the weed for the first time since 2019 when I went on holiday and couldnt get any.

This is the first time I've had weed around and not used it for that length of time since I started over 20 years ago. It wasn't planned. I just woke up one day and though fuck it. And that turned into about 8-9 days. I only became a legal user in the UK 1 month ago 🤣.

Ive been so fed up recently I've been slowly selling all my vapes. I sold loads ages ago but recently I started with all my "forever" vapes like the tubo dual, then my Toad, and next will be my tinymight 2 and mighty+ and finally my puffco peak pro with 2 grams of some insane bho 🤣 that I don't wanna vape anymore.

All I'll be left with is my dynvap(just incase the world goes to shit) and my AVLP.

I just absolutely love this thing. Since buying my first magic flight launch box in about 2016'ish i think?? I have never found the perfect vape for my user experience, you know the does it all vape until now. The AVLP with the capsules which I seem to have got lucky and have 2 capsules that are basically push fit lids then use the tool to screw off(fuck knows how but it's great). And I decided let's see how low I can go for my throat. I started at my usual 185 and went down 5c per bowl over the last 5 days and found that 150 is my sweet spot. It takes a few draws to get going but after that I can get a good 10 mins of decent clouds and the avb is a nice light brown consistency. People can say it may not be 150c in reality but from my experience as a low temp vaper I'd say it can't be far off. I can kinda tell by the throat that it's not as hot.

Anyway, I'll be putting my tinymight2 and various stems and other bits and bobs up soon and probably won't be around to much as I'm leaning towards edibles these days so I thought I'd say my fairwell(for now) in this thread as its one of the only vapes i will try and keep up with all the goings on, mostly as a reader.

Much love to you guys as ive leanred everythng i know on this forum and to Gary and the team for such a great piece of kit that just delivers mighty+ experience in a far superior piece of equipment in every possible way.

Makes you wonder why storz n bickel haven't done anything this good in 10x the time. They'd rather just milk off all the reviewers to make sure their dinosaur tops all the best vape lists because its easier than listening to the end user and working hard like airvape, tinymight and even "little" companies like the one with the xmax v3(the name escapes me).

Credit where credit is due.

Peace out 💚
I dont think its accurate at all i prefer the LE SE but i vape it at 162 and 168 and its dark brown its pure convection again which prefer to the hybrid, i dont need to stir it i heard the bubble capsules are not working so i just clean mine every two bowls, if your bubble caps are working i might invest just to stop all the cleaning lol. But I dont really mind that its become part of the session and loading fun ensuring no herb or foreign matter on any part of the gasket set up. Then its shut the lid 1 15 sec inhale and then its way. Its doesnt last very long usually gone in 1 sesh sometimes two and after 3 I'm nicely mellow. As I said the LG SE light green is a totes bargain at the mo and i did grab another :) I would advise doing the same before they run out :)

The fabric on the lid on mine was coming up in two spots when I received it. It didn't affect the performance obviously but it was a real eyesore on an otherwise lovely device. Bernadette asked for a video showing the defect and so I sent it. Maybe twenty minutes later she replied saying that since they couldn't fix the unit remotely they were sending me a new one. Although very generous I didn't feel right accepting it so asked if maybe I could just get a replacement lid with which she replied I wouldn't get the quality they thought I deserved with just a lid. I received the device today. That's what you call going above and beyond for your customers.

I Doubt they had even received the bad unit yet as I didn't mail it back till Saturday !
Thats just One of Several Pleasant encounters I have had with them.

I’m loving my Legacy Pro that much I’ve put my DaVinci IQ2 in to retirement.
I love everything about the LP, (well everything apart from the capsules).
Some of the lids are getting out of shape as I use a flat head screwdriver to twist the lid so now the top bit where the slit is, is now bent out of shape.

I would love to see some type of silicone cap to put on the mouthpiece to stop the smell escaping.

I got my dosing capsules early this year (I ordered the day they went live, first batch). I have used them frequently enough that I fill them every two days (filled and emptied 40-50 times total). They have been getting harder and harder to open, they got to where they were impossible to open without the pick tool, and now, even with the pick tool, some can't be opened without and a good grip and twisting hard enough that I'm sure they're getting damaged.

I thought at first I just needed to clean them more, but now I'm sure it's just the damage to the super fine threads adding up. After a full clean they work better, but are still sticking and seizing up unless I only screw it on a tiny bit.

They desperately need a redesign, because to have them already becoming flawed doesn't seem right. I'm pretty careful with them, I'm careful to line up the threads by backing them out until they click, but that gets more unreliable as they get more damaged, to the point where that trick doesn't work so well anymore.

I'm figuring that I have another month or two at this rate before they're done for.

Anyone else who got the first batch of dosing caps having issues with them? How often to you empty and fill them? Are mine just from a bad batch? I'm curious how yours are holding up.

I rotated thru mine daily till the novelty wore off. I prefer a larger load tbh ! Back to the screen of some type over the bowl(using the golden bottom reducing disc from OG Legacy atm). I stay medicated and limited on my time away from an AC socket for my portable O2. Its battery is good for about 2+hours running max...and spare batteries are $370 !!
Beautiful design, but, the fine threads really cripple them for the avg user, IMO !

I have also stopped using mine as they are getting very difficult to open/close. VERY frustrating seeing that in total they cost me close to $70 Canadian after shipping and exchange. I still LOVE my Pro and would consider dosing caps if/when a re-design happens.

I’m having similar issues with a few but I have 12 in rotation and it’s not my only device. I had to take one out of rotation from crossthreading and I’m very careful also.

A follow up on my last post. I replaced the gasket and I started getting the same white stuff on the new gasket too. Although I'm pretty sure it's CBD crystalization it's freaking me out. My bro in law and I buy ounces of CBD off flow gardens and split the cost so we are using the same CBD flower and this has never happened to his air pro. We live in the same environment/humidity, we use mason jars and boveda packs to maintain our flower, and we inspect our flower for mold before jarring it.

I don't know why this is happening to my air pro and not his I'm really concerned. Any pointers?

I stopped using my capsules...at first when they all opened I was thankful...but, soon after they were seizing on me and I had too much of a difficult time trying to open them. I just couldn't my fingers would tense up after awhile. I decided that I preferred the herb right in the chamber without anything covering it. Yes, the mess is there. I prefer the mess than, the other type of aggravation. I love my vape. I love it just the way it is. Mess and all...I do not care. It is just too fabulous.

Yeah, I would think the most convenient way to use the AVLP would be to load it directly, forget the caps and screens, carry a brush, dump the AVB, spend 5 seconds brushing it clean, and be done. Because you're gonna have to deep clean it eventually no matter what. So you might as well make it as convenient as possible rather than creating extra work for yourself just to vape a load PLUS still having to deep clean it.

Yes, it’s very easy to just brush it out. It’s the gasket assembly that gets intolerably sticky after every load. And the spinning gold disk made it worse, so I removed it.

I use a lid from a capsule as a screen cause screens get stuck in the bowl and getting them out is a pain.

I still think there should be some kind of hinged screen/cover over the bowl.

I'm still using my capsules. They are a pain in the ass but still usable.
1 of them has completely stripped the threads so it works like a push top and everytime I use that capsule I think to my self how amazing it is and how easy it would be for @Gary-Airvape to make they avlp the undisputed champion of vapes.

i find with the threaded capsules, I need to only screw the cap on half a thread then they come of easy'ish.

When they get dirty I need to use them all then I'll put the device on a heat cycle and drop the cap in for 10secs then whip it out and it screws off easily with the help of the tool.

I'll be waiting patiently for the upgraded capsules. And maybe a new version of the vape. 🤷‍♂️

Mimes is looking a bit tattie now. They gold doest look nice anymore on the bowl or the capsules even though I regularly clean it.

I think the bowl got screwed by using the screens before the caps existed. The screens scratched the bowl and in turn made it harder to clean.

Contacted Bernadette and after a few days of their engineering team trying to recreate the issue they couldn't. She said it must be the flower I'm vaping and to try different flower. I informed her that my bro in law uses the Pro too and that he and I go half on ounce purchases through flow gardens and clutch city and his pro has never had this issue so it can't be my flower. I inspect any flower I get for mold and issues and once that's done I throw it into a kerr mason jar with a 62% boveda pack to keep it in tip top shape.

In the end she sent me a faulty unit document to fill out and told me to ship it to an address so their team can inspect the unit. I told her I'd give it one more deep clean and give it a go one more time and that if it happens again I'll ship it out to them.

I'll keep you all posted if anyone here is interested.
