Phase3 Vaporizers

That's the Z-Pro

It just needs to be built, the design work is done. Would take about 30-45 days for those samples to arrive.

Luckily, the Z Pro won't be near as easy to copy as my other ideas. Both the bowl and the heater have been totally designed from the ground up for a highly optimized user experience.

How much would you expect to pay for this full zirconia vape setup?

I could possibly get samples quicker than that, but they would be more expensive.

I am ready to pay more than the Z8, if the Z PRO is more efficient!?
I missed the first sale of the Z8, and of course I still want one.
But if you still, and came up with a better design than the Z8, I'd buy it from you instead of the Z8 lol.
And for a ceramic bowl I say a big YES!

Ideally I would have preferred a Z compatible with my bowls, in 18.
But whatever.

Looking forward to seeing the evolution of your range.
The Z8 is already a great design success.

I'm in no position to argue having designed 0.00 vapes and sold damn near the same amount, but my b1 is always on the shovelhead so there's def conduction going on ..

Are you letting it preheat or hitting it right off the bat?
I let mine warm up for around 30 seconds or so, so the conduction effect is really present. That way it just explodes as soon as I move some air through it.

It's also made from aircraft aluminum, so the heat transfer is way different from rubies or titanium.

Thanks a lot for the kind words,

Z Pro is just a concept for now; but the core idea is solid and it's all based on sound working principals and my continually evolving R&D efforts. The Z8 is still my flagship model for now, but eventually I hope to offer some of these newer ideas.

If you want efficiency I think the 14MM bowl is pretty nice. I don't really find myself missing a larger bowl at all personally.

The glass bowls are definitely going to be more affordable which is why I started things there, but in theory the Z bowl wouldn't have any durability issues if its dropped which could be nice. The Z bowl has some other interesting features as well which make it pretty unique and should be easier to clean.

Haven't even ran any quotes on the finished Z bowl yet so I'd have to check to see what they would really cost. If I did do a budget entry level version (SX) they could potentially be prototyped in stainless steel and then ported over to ceramic.

IMHO that comes from conduction.
Before the Anvil was released into the wild I was intrigued with what they were doing conceptually so I built a desktop that I thought would achieve a similar experience before the anvil was actually released for sale lol.

I pull this one out when I'm bored of the super pure convection and my throat is wore out. The airflow is better than ball vapes and despite the unique low velocity turbulent heat exchanger design I incorporated, in reality it turned out heavily conduction oriented so it does a lot of the extraction "work" for you.

This one really blows up a bong.

I can build these too
For real, we can get any of these going
I definitely think you should expand your lineup with this conduction vape (love how quickly it milked up your piece). I am starting to really dig conduction (vapman is my nightcap). And too many convection ball vapes are coming out.

Howdy friends,

Quotes are in for the SX so this post will largely go to seeing if there's enough interest to do a sample run while Z8 stuff is queue'd up.

Phase3-SX-Render.png

SX is positioned as the affordable, American made, stash saving, medical grade stainless steel (316L) little brother to our flagship Z8 Supervap.

The beads are retained in the SX using the same screen groove mechanism as the Z8. Only with the SX, there are now two screen grooves, as the machined slotted intake has been removed in exchange for this simpler to produce system.
The housing still features an oversized slip ring up top so that the hot housing cannot ever physically fall through the coil. As stated throughout this thread, the friction fit coil is simply superior in heat transfer to a threaded system, which is why we have stuck with that. The main body diameter has been increased slightly from the Z8 to provide easier installation and superior "grab."

The SX uses the same time tested surface area calculations and the same 14MM glass bowl system as the Z8, for a truly efficient heavy hitting platform that provides dense pleasing vapor, without burning through your stash as larger injector platforms tend to have a reputation of.

Phase3 is committed to supporting local businesses and domestic manufacturing when possible, thus the SX is to be precision machined right here in Southern California.

Pricing is right at $100 USD for the gem loaded SS316 housing.
American borosilicate glass bowls are $35.
Just add electronics and enjoy.

Available for Limited Pre-Order now at www.gophase3.com

Just a quick message, as we are not the physical manufacturer with all the million dollar machines, I honestly cannot offer the absolute rock bottom lowest prices possible in the industry, but I'm confident that we can readily compete; while also offering a more efficient platform that will save money on expensive dank right off the bat.

Thanks a lot for reading this. And thanks for supporting the original ruby ball vaporizer!

I love this!!!!!!!

I implored my buddy from back home to grab one for himself. He's been eyeballing my Z8 during our calls

@invertedisdead

I would love to see you build something in the “metal butane pen” form factor, I’m not much of a desktop user but would still like to own something you’ve designed and support you

Specifically something that can clear a bowl in one hit like the anvil, plus I really enjoy the more rounded high of devices with a noticeable conduction lean

Would pay big money for something like that :D

For 14 mm bowls - I use a standard 14 mm riser joint and then put the screen in the frosted joint. I prefer that over a bowl. Lots of 14/14 male to female options out there. Simple and effective - plus it gets the material close to the heater!!
I ordered the SX 🥳🥳🥳

Okay thank you for this information!
What is the size of the screens in SS that it is necessary to take for this type of 14mm bowls?

If you can share a picture of this bowl with the screen that would be great please 🙏

My question to the community of this thread, is if you have a list of glass bowls that will be compatible with the SX.
One bowl is good, but several is even better lol
There is a short thread where some of the options are collected:

This is a 14mm male to 14mm female adapter with a 3/4" screen shoved down into the grind. This TAG adapter works really well because the glass is thick, has a big maria to lift with, and most important, a very deep grind. This screen is at about the same depth as in the phase3 bowl.

Got my order in!

@invertedisdead will you be offering the SX pre fitted with a coil or should I buy my own coil separately to fit myself?

Also, being a 14mm injector, will it sit nicely in any of the existing stands from other manufacturers (CH, Old Head) besides the DC one?

This will be my first ball vape so I’m quite excited. I’m liking the 14mm size and the material (SS), though I think I’ll still be in the market once the Z8 is available again.

Cheers.

I’ve been wondering about the (very few as far as I know) people who have had the coils loosen on their Z8s; are you using stands that hold the head and let the coil hang off it all day? Is anyone still having that problem?

Mine still seems tight, but I’ve been using the included stand. I’m interested in other options, but I’m a little concerned about things that don’t support the coil, especially because I have the added weight of a handle on it… :sherlock:

I use the included stand and mine was loose since day one. I tightened it but at those higher temps it still gets loose. We're nice and tight when I run anywhere under around 500 on my DC however.

Mine could be turned by hand when it arrived and then it loosened a bit more after the first few runs. I was professionally counselled and tightened it myself. So far it's kept snug.

Edit: I use the taroma cup too.
