Great! Let us know when you have something. Good luck!
Thank you for your feedback, I currently have the last prototype. It is my first time ever on a forum, a friend recommended I go on here. Do you think I will be able to find an investor, partner, or buyer here?

There’s certainly a solid potential... though how likely it actually is, is another thing.
I would maybe recommend getting some usage videos up, some pictures, etc.

Would also help to post to Reddit r/vaporents to gain a much wider audience. But read the rules carefully before you post anything.

Also welcome to the forum! Please tell us more about your new vape that isn’t on the market.

Once you have a product, I suspect you'll get buyers here if it is good. Many great vapes were first announced here.

I would not invest unless I saw:
  • A great, unique device
  • A means to produce the device with minimal interruption and problem
  • A proven track record building in this or an adjacent space.
Well that would start a conversation.

Hi, thank you for the warm welcome and advice. Am I allowed to upload pictures and videos of it here without getting in trouble? I am not very familiar with forum rules and policies. So you're saying go on reddit r/vaporents but make sure I understand the rules before posting on there?

You can post videos and photos. I am sure that we would all like that. Here are the FC Rules: https://fuckcombustion.com/rules/

I am pleased to hear that other successful vapes were announced here first. However I dont understand what you mean by minimal interruption and problem as well as adjacent space. I can upload a picture of it if youd like

I dont see the option to upload an attachment or image. I only see to add a URL

Yeah you can share whatever you want here, for your own vape, whatever you wish to reveal to us! No need to use reddit at all

Yes imgur.com on website browser or mobile browser desktop view, upload and then paste the URL here, looking forward!

Looks.... interesting. A lot of folks love to make bold claims about being the future of vaping, but then fall very short.

What materials are you using? Is the air path clean? What sort of heating tech are you using?

Also it’s advised to avoid back-to-back posting. You can link multiple imgur images at once, and edit any post to add something you may have missed

Many announced products have not had smooth launches, especially lately when there have been all sorts of causes for extra friction during production.

Having limited pre-orders, or reducing the wait times between purchase and shipment are important factors in securing good business rapport with a user base. A happy user base will make promoting sales fairly effortless, so long as the product is good and can be supplied on demand, or with an acceptable and made-obvious lead time.

There is some method to getting a forum account here flagged as manufacturer or business. It is likely in the rules.

I recommend www.ibb.co for easy image uploads. whatever you use, it's best to view the image directly and embed the image/URL in a post here. Imgur takes traffic away and isn't any better at hosting.

Eg.

Detailing your design with comprehensive descriptions and imagery will be one thing, if you can embed videos showing it in operation that would also be useful.

Show off the ABV, materials used in construction, power needs and any other functions, and you will get all the attention needed here.

Depending on your status I would hold off from wider audiences such as reddit until things are further along in production. There would be a lot of interest in a prototype, but I would show the most amount of people a production model and keep the protos in a smaller, more niche section away from the masses.

Now we are looking at renders, how long until real physical examples are tested?

Thanks. My vape isn't like the Haze and Focus V Aero. Well you know what they say.. fortune favors the bold. Aluminum, tungsten, and silicone. Yes the air path is clean, and I am using ceramic for the heating.

He did mention he’s looking for potential investors or a full on partner in his business, that’s why I suggest a wider audience.

We are using a 18650 battery, it is not removable. The lifetime is about 300-500 charge cycles
thanks for the info! how about usage... how long would a full charge last me on the go? basically; how many loads can we expect to run thru before having to charge?

I really appreciate the feedback. This is the first forum I have ever been on so its a learning curve as well as designing and building this vape from scratch with my partner. Thats why im here to see if I can potentially get some guidance, partners, investors, or someone whos interested in buying the patent. I do not wish for getting my account flagged, I was told this was a solid place to seek some answers and help. But I will def be adding more images, videos, and parts used.

Depends on the usage but anywhere between 45 mins to 2 hours

Where are you based? Do you or your partner have any existing experience with product design/development?
Just generally curious, as I'm sure others will be. The process is fairly unforgiving, but it's always interesting.
I think this might be a good place to start, it really depends on the amount of capital you require to get started though.

How far along is the prototyping process? Have you built initial samples or how many iterations?

I think this is really the most telling aspect when it comes to future success, this industry is ripe with great theory and bad practices. There's room for more contenders for sure, but I would stress getting the mechanical and electrical design dialled in practice before scaling up small problems into huge ones. It's a common and easy mistake to make.
