It is so strange to me how much you are boosting this device you haven't even touched. I don't make up my mind about a device until I have used it for two weeks. And I usually don't share my thoughts publicly for a month. Different strokes for different folks, I guess.
Im in agreement mate. It kind of sounds like im gushing over something i havent touched.

There is a complete possibility that i wont enjoy it.

But allow me to explain why im so positive about it:

It ticks quite a many boxes for me
Reviews and individuals that i trust, have given me positive indications of this device.

Not only that, but i own a number of vapes and sometimes multiples of them, such as the tinymight. So i believe i know where i am now with my vaping needs and thats why im hella excited about this device because it does alot of what i need in a unit.

Ive done a hell of a lot of research, ive looked at all the negativity of it all along with whats good.

Based on all of this, i am confident that ill enjoy this product and it will meet my needs for my uses.

There is no harm in being positive about receiving something and i do not doubt the company or the product to let me down, just as when i purchased my first tinymight :)

I just received mine and notice 2 stitches/threading on the side where the buttons are broke apart right next to each other. So hopefully it doesn't get worse. Did take a picture of it right away.

Other than that didn't see anything that stuck out flaw wise.

Done one bowl so far of cbd.. definitely need to learn to use it as this is my first battery vape for flower.

:update: .25g is about the most I think I can put in with my medium coarse brilliant cut grinder.

With a very light tamp with my finger did a session starting from 330 then up 10 till I hit 370. The very bottom of the bowl was very brown and the rest was brown but definitely not as brown so I'm going try less material this next round. With these session I don't see myself going past 370f on this.

The foam on the mouthpiece could be a tad tighter for a fit.

Ok so i dont have my lp pro yet but i saw the cleaning video.

My TM :

Clean the oven screen
Clean the oven tube
Clean the stem
Clean the CU screen
Clean the CU 2nuts 3washers
Clean the cooling balls
Clean the other screen i put in the tube so i dont get leaf in my mouth

Looking at the TM thread, many have a similar stem set up to me

Thats alot of pieces to keep track of and clean.

The alp doesnt have so much

When I saw the cleaning video the LP had 11 pieces to disassemble to clean. Not to mention the need to clean the entire inside of the vape to deal with loose cannabis. Remember that there are users who have reported putting glass beads into the stem, which need to get cleaned.

My maintenance with the TM is to clean out the screen that I place between the cannabis and the cooling unit and to soak the stems every so often. I have had my TM since November 19 and I only cleaned the cleaning units once (maybe twice, but I doubt I would forget).

Once screens get fouled they get an Iso soak and then I remove them from the ISO and clean them with PBW when I get low on clean screens.

There are folks on FC who clean a vape after every use and there are people who never clean anything.

People who are able to appreciate the nuances of tastes of various strains are not usually the same as serious medical users who need to medicate. I am sure there are plenty of medical users who vape much more than I who can tell various strains by smell or taste alone.

As others have said for someone who had not even tried the Legacy Pro maybe you should wait a bit.

So I decided to try the USB c charging on this and it seems it has pass through charging on it.. love my 6ft cord I use for my wand and I also have a expensive external charger.

Edit: I mean it will charge while its turned on

Just so you know that is not actually pass through charging, it is use while charging, so it is still putting straight on the battery btw

Quick question , love the vape . Slappps . Running it around 400 in session mode . The unit does get warm but not super hot after I run a few 3 min sessions . I noticed the negative pin is close to the bowl which also heats up the battery a bit …Im not really a battery expert , just wondering if that is a concern ?

I disagree, strongly. There is basically no cleaning of the TM unit at all just the stem and cooling unit. The Pro got cannabis kind of everywhere.

I have not gone over 185C yet since my original Legacy had combustion on the first use and I am still a bit nervous. At 185C the vapor was thin and wispy.
My OG Mighty can be wispy at 185C. But during the LP Pro review by Troy and Jerry, Jerry commented that the LP Pro temp rises over the course of the session [he showed much darker ABV than a Crafty + set at the same temp with same herb]. So I would have thought the LP Pro at 185C to give decent clouds after a few hits. I'm waiting on delivery. So hoping someone with LP experience can comment?

@Gary-Airvape, can you please clarify the refund policy regarding sale items, it says on the site that "Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded." Would a Legacy Pro sold with the (upgrade discount) be considered a sale item, and thus not eligible for a refund?

Tl;dr at bottom.

I’ve had mine for about a week now. I never touch mj other than edibles a few times, until I was diagnosed with Crohn’s and IBS earlier this year. I use it for pain relief only, not recreationally as I get anxious.

I purchased an Xmax V3, Mighty+, Tinymight and now this. I learned that because I have a low tolerance (.06 last me an afternoon), use small bowls, and don’t like getting high (i.e sessions) that I prefer on-demand as I can space out my usage without needlessly wasting flower.
I also prefer dosing capsules because I can pull them out in between micro-doses.

Xmax v3 - Never had a good experience with it in session or on-demand.

Mighty+ - Good for sessions, but wasted a lot of my flower because I don’t need much. I only take 1-2 hits and the rest gets cooked by the conduction. It’s huge. Annoying to clean and vapor is harsh and makes me cough a lot. I gave it to my sister so she’d stop smoking. It seems to have the most headroom for heavy smokers in terms of packing a large bowl and getting massive clouds.

Tinymight - It’s great. Stays cool for the 1-2 draws I need. Easy to clean with the dosing capsules. I wish it had more temperature control or the ability to know what I’m at.

Legacy Pro - The coolest vapor by far, even if I try multiple hits. The draw is the best feeling as well. The device gets a little warm in my pocket, even with on-demand. A case could fix that, as it did with my TM. The flavor is on par with the TM. Cleaning is less convenient than the TM, but not as annoying as the Mighty+. Dosing caps would fix that. I prefer the handfeel over the TM as well. It just feels good in hand.

I’m having abdominal surgery soon and plan to use this as it’s the coolest and hasn’t made me cough yet.

Tl;dr - It’s my favorite vape so far, surpassing the Tinymight because it’s the coolest vapor, tied for flavor, best handfeel, on-demand microdosing with temperature control, and I can palm it for dog walks or when I walk for my GI pain. Get some dosing capsules and it’ll be perfect for what I want.

I have no idea how it does for full bowls or sessions because that’s not my usage.

heats up the battery a bit
This is not a problem, I have quick swapped 18650 batteries that I can barely handle with bare hands, probably another reason Airvape want peeps to stick to their 'known to them' batteries...I prefer Sony 18650 vt6 (made in Japan) to any other 18650 battery myself but would stick to the OG (or at least install the OG battery before sending a unit in for warranty if it ever needs it:rofl:)

Just for people's curiosity about making the purchase: I ordered mine three days ago and got notice today that the package was dropped off at the post office at their end this afternoon.

for those interested,

the mouth piece rubber, the legacy one is NOT larger then the PRO. the difference is something you can come across with lack off attention to detail for quality control.

meaning the L one and pro one are EXACTLY the same rubber/silicon, in size. the difference is simply the new ones molding did not produce fully the small nubs you feel on the long sides of the rubber. like this _____ size on each long side.

dollar to a doughnut its the exact same factory using the exact same molding form. dirty mold?

small details can get lost over time. we are not talking a huge difference mind you, but it can be seen and felt the older production has more defined ridges.

Just as i was walking out, a delivery dropped! On a Saturday! It had customs written on it so i promptly stepped back in :D

Ive emptied a bowl and i have clarity. I have come to a conclusion. I will discuss why i would own both this and my TM. I'll mention how i used a DaBuddha screen on top of the bowl - perfect fit. I'll explain why i feel this is the King of Vapes right now. But im also pi$$ed about the stupid mouthpiece and the mess (groan).

Stay Tuned!

Stay Blessed

Very happy with this product so far but I've only done a few bowls in 3min session more at 395f. I'll leave full impressions tomorrow or so when I use it more

Aw, lucky. I won't have mine until some time Tuesday, so right at a week, and I'm right here in Portland, Oregon. One of those days is the holiday, though.

seen mentioned in thread at least once, user placing the wax pad on top of dry herb when micro dosing.

May I ask what this achieves besides lowering the bowl volume?

perhaps it "traps" small bits that would otherwise collect on the air path screen?

I truly think you will be happy with your choice. I bought the OG Legacy when it came out, and had serious reservations about form and function. When the Legacy Pro was announced, I became elated. Why? Because they (AirVape) is listening and now, has a presence on it’s thread. Having an ear, changes things for the best. I love the Pro. It is one of my daily drivers (HR Rogue, the other). For me it is serious, medically. I’ve tried many vapes over the years. Thanks to this community of fellow vapers , I have lots of info and repartee.✌️❤️
Which do you prefer HR Rogue or Legacy pro?

I believe it vapes better when the weed is more compacted than just free floating around as you draw. Just like you don't want to pack a convection vape too tight you don't want it too light either, a light tamp works best. The pad helps keep the light tamp while the air pulls thru instead of blowing the weed around the extra space in the bowl. It will also keep down in some of the mess but that's not the main purpose. People do the same thing to microdose in the mighty.

Well, your knowledge of battery far exceeds mine, there is no point to argue here. If you could give us your recommendation I will forward it to the factory and we will find a solution. We are trying to make life easier but to be honest, I never changed the battery in any of my devices... and trust me I have a few... all the prototypes, and early releases, still work fine. I don't see the point of making this an issue.
but I'm here, hearing you, and will find a solution to fulfill your needs!
Just tell us the amps needed for the battery. As long as you use a battery with that amp rating or higher, you would be fine. Say you need a 15a rated battery for this device, but instead are using a 5a rated battery, that is where you could run into some problems.
