Anvil by Vestratto

Hi there.
I gotta be totally honest that the User's edition upgrades and execution of manufacturing and delivery of all of the replacement units is our priority and consuming all of our attention right now. Our strong conviction is to meet the commitments we have made to you already, before we take on any more. As many of you know that has even gone so far as to shut our store and direct people onto a wait list. The response to the Anvil has been super gratifying but we realized early on we had a lot of work to do to get you the form, fit and finish you expect. To be honest - if I was making a car analogy - I think these Founder's Anvils are a lot like a NASCAR race car. Super powerful - but maybe one or two (or ten for some of you) aspects of the creature comforts were left out. We are now focused on getting that baby up to a Ferrari standard. The dozen or so helix chambers we sent out all said the same thing. Too tight on the airflow. We kinda knew and disclosed that. I was pleased to see at least one post that showed the marked difference in the estratto (abv) colour with the same heating profile. It's this extra heat for concentrates that we are working to achieve.

So to bluntly answer the when helix question. Once everyone has been upgraded and the Late January pre-orders have been filled we can look at that. The helix chambers will be made on our original lathe so they will not conflict with new production going forward. I am not trying to be coy about the helix delivery. I am trying to be upfront about the User's edition upgrades.
Cool beans!! i have been running moonrock thru the anvil a lot and i have noticed i don’t get the build up like i do in other vapes. it does
A session vape is one you can pass around for multiple hits, where you can just leave it on and enjoy a session with friends, or, more likely these days, a solo session where you sit with a vape and pull at will. The Mighty is a classic session vape.

The Anvil is not that. It will surely blaze a roomful of people, but it will be a process. You can hit it natively, and I suppose you could pass it around to give people a few pulls, but it cools fairly quickly, which means session over until you reload.

From my perspective, it's just a powerful one-hit water piece. And it does that so freakin' well, it doesn't need to be anything else.
This is a me time vape!!!

Has anyone tried to vape h
Hash out of the anvil?

Making a order at the end of the month wondering If I should pick some up.

I love this device. I have been super medicated ever since it arrived.

My heat source is a single flame torch. Best for me. I hold right above the battery. In the gap.

I did notice that when you adjust air flow, you need to push it together, as to make sure the bowl and the stem seal tightly together. If you make the adjustment by pulling it apart, it separates the bowl and stem. Blocking off the air passage, and make it very restricted. (Does that make sense?)

All the changes sound like the right direction. The possibilities for aftermarket gets me excited.

Just a though.:smug: Make a new bowl storage cap that is extendable. So you could roll out with multiple extra bowls.

A Boba Fett themed heat shield would be amazing. Gold, Green, and Red. Some of that incredible anodize work like they do on paintball guns.

So far I am totally impressed with device.
I am in the early order group. My new modified air valve arrived today. Along with new tube. More testing for me.

Thanks to John

So

John, would it make sense to make both ends of the storage tube screw open and used as a bowl removal/placement tools? that way, you'd be able to change back to back bowls more easily and be able to carry two bowls plus the anvil in one tube without creating too big of a footprint.

Am I making sense? Looking forward to owning this device!

I was out and about today with the Anvil. It travels really well. Loading the bowl is difficult without the right herb storage container. I might make a stick like creation with a magnet on the end so I can jam the bowl down into some of my favorites on the go herb storage jars. Right now the best jar I have for easy loading is the Jyarz Chico with the glass insert. In the future I imagine just having 5 or so full bowls packed in a storage tube of sorts.

I took the Anvil to a new local head shop today, found them because they are Dynavap retailers 🤯, to show them. They even let me rip it in the shop. Needless to say, they were blown away. I ended up walking away with a lovely inexpensive local piece by Licit Glass. A small little slit disk 14mm bubbler that pairs well with the Anvil. The Anvil really milks it up.

Beauty.

On a hunch due to the earlier restricted airflow I ordered a Grav Helix with the straight base. And oh my that is a lovely combo. Stacks so well in the bottom chamber. And needs very little water. Fun to watch the spiraling vapor too.

Really lovely synergy there. Fave water pairing so far, but need to revisit the rest of the collection with the more open Anvil settings.

Just some notes I've been taking over the past few days.
More thoughts and lifestyle sciencey science:

Depending on where you heat on the oven you'll get a dab or "soft" dab off flower if you can imagine what that means. Maybe a low temp dab. I get the dab off flower when I ride the line.

The o-ring on the heat shield is great, it seals with glass and I can carb the anvil in the j-hook by pulling it out and dropping it back in (almost like the flutter technique Austin over at Simrell showed us). A Precision medical device comes to mind after handling the anvil, the machining, the chambers, the airflow control. I still get that primal stoner feel/vibe though, the torch, the shape, "Stands on the shoulders of giants" comes to mind, I think @Whiff has said that a few times.

Watching Troy and Jerry talk about vape signatures (because someone here brought it up) made me take note. They talk about a thoroughly satisfying (tasty) hit and a hard-hitting heavy extractor/extraction. In my experience, the anvil seems to accomplish both in a torch-driven device. I'm able to get that sipper / gandalf / mouth to lung puff while having the ability to get that anvil'd / out of the park smack with my j-hook.

Other than for "micro-dosing" I like the smaller chamber for the crumbs left in the grinder before I switch strains.

I know it really is and I don't even have a proper torch ordering the blazer Firefox mini.
I've been using this: Single torch lighter on amazon. It's not in stock anymore but this (clear) one is and it’s in an amazon warehouse in the U.S. Mine is still in the mail. If you can wait the two weeks from aliexpress, here’s the link.
I've been eyeing this torch. The butane flows when you open the lid.
Tried my Blazer Big Buddy and combusted. 🙄 guess it’s back to my small handheld torch after I clean my Anvil & Glass. 😑
I've been using the single torch (first amazon link) and it's just about the right size. The second link seems to be the same jet and flint but, has a larger tank. The old trusty honest single torch that I got from sneaky pete is still chugging away, it's a mini animal.

Current setup

Efficient, prob .5g vaped through it at this point.

Some honey leaked out when I removed the anvil from the j-hook

I was messing around with the Anvil the other night, and ended up with this cooling WPA. Using a downstem that I shortened, filled with 5mm boro balls and added a rimmed basket screen in the bottom end.

It adds just enough length to not worry about touching the hot bits, just enough cooling when hitting it by itself, and makes for easy gong connections. I am really enjoying this thing.

I think the use of this code has been limited to certain products. Cause it says :

Nah needs a case to hold all the chambers, the Anvil and maybe a multi tool with a brush and a tamp or pick. i willing to bet no one wants a case that will hold just 2 chambers and the anvil. We greedy ass bastards want it all!!

If we could get invididual screw-on caps for the chambers, that would allow the use of all sorts of different first and third-party cases.

I'd like to see a magnetic holder that doesn't "shroud" the bowl. Something where one could hold a hot chamber and scoop some out of a grinder. If that makes sense

The case that @Zuhdj suggested is best i have seen so far. double barrel design i think.
