Boundless Tera

I'm looking for something to add a bit of length to help with the heat from the mouthpiece, but without having it be too crazy long like the regular Arizer stems.

I use an original Solo bent stem in my Tera. It has length without height and bends (to me) over the display screen.
Two silicone O-rings (20mm OD, 15mm ID), stacked in the space above the bowl, hold the stem.
I can also use the magnetic lid (with the metal & glass removed); it fits this stem perfectly.
All but one of my straight stems (aftermarket?) have shoulders that are too high for the plastic to sit right.

Hmm.. The bent solo stem I picked up from PuffItUp.com, had too long of a wide base and the only way to use it with the magnetic top is to have it all the way down in the bowl. It makes the bowl a lot smaller unfortunately 😕

I saw on here that a few people have nodded the magnetic mouthpieces with the Argo stems and the Glass Stem w/Black Tip and those looked like they fit how I ideally would like them to, so they can be used with the magnetic tops.

Maybe we have different bent stems? Mine is the Arizer branded one.

You don’t use magnetic mp, just the silicone grommet with the filter, put stem into the grommet when it’s in the bowl, not the most secure but works ok. If you read back in this thread you will see lots of examples of mods of the mp.

Well yes, I use the Tera like an Arizer heater with my load in the stem, so it is indeed all the way down in the bowl (like a dosing capsule).
The narrower stem ID means a smaller load. I do not get a less extracted outer ring, reported by some full bowl users.

Without the plastic magnetic lid, I can use Solo stems as mouthpieces, with O-rings and S&B dosing capsules.

I like the black plastic Arizer stem I pictured earlier (I need that full bowl), you can even pack the stem with terp balls for more cooling (and cleaning, why I stopped),

3D Flow stem mounts the same as above, pushed in through the underside of the Tera magnetic mount, @warren0728 stock pic,

This is exactly the kind of mouthpiece mod I am looking for ! 😁

I wanted the security of the mouthpiece being magnetic like the stock mp's but I wasn't sure which mp was going to work best connected to the magnetic part from the stock mp's. This is perfect!! Thanks a ton!!

Also, I was wondering, does the black tipped arizer stem get hot like the stock Tera mps? The main reason I was looking at the Argo stem is because it looks a bit longer like the other Arizer stems, but it doesn't have the wider base that would have to go down into the bowl if used with the magnetic pieces from the stock Tera mp's. But I really like that you can use Terp balls for more cooling !

And is the clear tube part of the mouthpiece made out of glass? I saw 2 listings that look the same on PuffItUp.com and I can't figure out if the difference is that one has a plastic tube and the other has a glass tube, or if one of them is just not an Arizer brand stem and the other is Arizer OEM or something like that.

I like that stem where could those be had?

The new lower price of the Tera is really bringing some quality to the value vape segment.

Finally got around to trying my Solo bent glass stem in my Tera. It isn’t as nearly as flavorful as my MiniVap but it sure extracts a great deal quickly. This is certainly one I’ll take along on backwoods trips when I need to space out looking at the camp fire. This along with an extra pair of cells and charger should get me through quite a few burning logs.:)

Of all the my Black Friday purchases, the Tera is the disappointment.

Vapour production sucks, and it just isn't a unit I like. One more to sit on the shelf. Lots more I don't like, but you get the point.

I cannot recommend this unit to anyone.

Sorry to hear yours has issues. It hasn’t been my experience at all. My Tera is a solid vape that works well. I would troubleshoot the lack of vapor before putting it out to pasture.

Something wrong there, not my finding. :hmm:

I've tried restricting the airflow, different kinds of flower, ground, cut, dry, not so dry, and I just don't like the unit. Heat up is slow, battery life sucks, the form factor is terrible, and it just doesn't work for ME.

Maybe it is just me, but I find that vaping is personal, we are all unique, and we change and evolve. I don't like the Tera, I cannot recommend it, but for others, it ticks all the boxes.

For me, I really like my Flowermates. I had to learn how to pack and use them, but they produce way more vapour than any other vape.

The Tera is a convection vape, and I just don't find convection to be the best. Taste is great, leftovers are palatable, but it is like sucking empty air. I switch to convection after I have a buzz, or when I need to get work done.

While I like the Flowermates, they are a pain to load, and clean, and keeping them producing vapor. Improperly packed, or dirty, the Flowermates can be frustrating. The point is that Flowermate works for me, but it might now work for you.

In terms of heavy use, say more than 2grams/day, the Solo II and the aroma tubes are the easiest for me.

@Robert-in-YEG before you shelf it, just to satisfy everyone’s curiosity could you swap in some other cells along with trying a Solo stem in it? I think you have a bad one and if for nothing else it will make it easier to return it.
On a side note, thank you for doing the model info submission with the link to the PDF of the manual. I’ve used it already.
Finally the sentiment that vapes are a personal thing is one I’m sure all here agree with. I am fortunate to be blessed with the ability to acquire more than I frankly ever need to have at any one time. My Tera impresses me as a convection Solo, especially when I use my Solo bent stem. I like it but I admit it doesn’t have any issues... knock on wood...

I found opening up airflow helped with this unit ... :2c:

Seriously?
So, drilling the base of Tera* to change the several small air-intake holes into one large as possible hole is an improvement?
I see no reason for a hole to be any smaller than the ID of the inner tube to the heater.
Well. I suppose smaller holes keep the bud-bugs out.

* base removed first?

If you’re not honking on it thru water, it has enough air flow. Only time I use water is when I’m turning up the temp to vape hash and kief or combo with herb. Herb alone never water, start 330-350*F finish 380-400*F. I don’t use bowl screen with herb. :2c:

edit: forgot I always playing with air flow with the pinkie, restrict on first half slow pull, then wide open and honk on it pretty good.

Well , I just saw the sale was happening again, just came back from a very hard outdoor mission with work where i caught a massive cold, so , as i feel like sh*t and wanted to treat myself, i just did a compulsive buy and ordered that baby.
I wanted to save for a mighty, but at that price, very hard to resist, + i stopped Ecig so I have a ton of 18650 with a quad charger ...

Hope I won't regret it , open to any tips.
So , after a month i can say that i really like the terra overall.
Vapor production is quite good but i feel that it’s a vape that requires long and/or strong drag to shine(i am more used to my glow rcv, on demand vapo type).
Extraction is impressive, nice dark brown AVB , almost on the edge of combustion is possible , but i think you start to « taste the vaporizer » at this point.
Flavor isn’t its strongest point .
Battery life is good since i have plenty of those anyway 😋.

BUT… i m confused if i do something wrong or if i need to send it back:
When i m done, i click five time on the main button, terra vibrates and show boundless logo before the screen turn off…. But the terra feels warmer.
I decided that i will always unplug the batteries after a session to be safe.
It s not normal isn’t it?

The promo code “Yarmacrazy“ seems to be working with the Flash Sale happening on the Boundless site. If you are still looking to get a Tera (or two) it will save you 20% more, making the cost with shipping for 1 unit around $72. If you get two shipping is free and the total for two drops to $128, so $64 per unit. Hope this helps some still pondering a purchase! Peace..
