What's your main go to temperature for vaping?

Summer

Long Island, NY
Generally, around 392°F, but for a PID setup like the Flowerpot, 575°F (which is low for PID usage.)

It really depends on the vape.

Formula 409 for when pursuing psychoactive effects on my Solo II. For Convection vapes, I just go to the highest 428F.

When using moderation and common sense, again with the Solo II, I do a 5-minute session at 320, and then a second at 385; there is still goodness left in the aroma tube, but it goes into the AVB bucket.

By the way great thread.

Depending the vape, i like to start anywhere between 380 to 390F in the range where there is a significant amount of vapor that taste delicious. Then step up to 410 and the highest if it goes.

The temperature thats measured at the heater is only one variable in the roasting process. Proximity of herb to the heater, intensity of your draw, and grind/packing also contribute to the amount of heat that permeates the herb.
And it would seem likely to me that just because a vape displays 355°, it doesn’t mean that it is actually 355°. There is bound to be inaccuracies in displayed temperature and the actual temperature, especially with so many different manufacturers being involved.

You're 100% correct I ordered a log vaporizer and obviously I don't have no temperatures but I've been learning to look at the finished product and adjust accordingly

i currently like 420F/215C - this delivers the amount of vapor that i want each hit with not too much wasted in exhale ... the herb in the vial is about 50F lower, and rises to 420F during the draw, then drops back down.
