AirVape legacy

Yes, and importantly (to me) the one in the bowl is inserted tab side down.
Screen on diffuser disk makes a big difference in terms of maintenance for sure. Probably does improve airflow but I find just the opposite to be better in the bowl. Tab side down works but I find tab up works better. Small screen clogs easily so I find it superfluous and I've removed mine. I now get great hits. Obviously, this is just personal preference. The point is once tweaked the unit does perform well, flaws and all. The battery can't be beat.

Havent tried "tab up" insertion of the disc. Tab "down" creates the Air Gap to enhance overall even extraction of bowl. I also have Removed the lil Mini Screen. Eleminates a potential Clogging area and improves air flow. Ive found No Problem with extraneous bits of materials passing thru the Air Path into my mouth.
I preordered my Legacy March 6 2020, didn't receive it til October. At the time, I was Extremely upset in the delay in delivery, but, now find that Not to be a Problem and Well Worth the 5+ month Wait !!

The "Screen" is designed to fit in the Bowl.....provides an additional Air Pocket for a more Even Extraction in the bowl.
Am I Misunderstanding that you are Crimping the Disc to the Diffuser Disk attached to the lid ? Or am I that medicated. But, Both times Ive read it the past day or so ?
Just got mine today and after 1st trying to attach the screen/Diffuser disc by pinching the tabs as you described to no avail, did further read theText in their sales spiel. Talks of the Enhanced Hot Air Chamber creating a more Even Extraction across the whole bowl.
On another note.....
After placing the disc in the bottom of the bowl, filling it lightly tamped full of White Hot Guava ground with a medium Herp Ripper texture, when I go to empty, open the lid, the Entire bowl full is attached to the Diffuser disc. The Bowl is Clean !!! This has happened the past 4 bowls full.
ANYONE ?
This pic is of a bowl that Wasnt Finished. The previous 3-4 came out completely clean(the bowl, excuse the rest of the mess((still works good)).

I’ve heard you should fill the chamber a little over 3/4 and loose. Not tamped down and full.

That was my conclusion. I had been keeping it "tabs up" until I determined that the "tabs down" gave it that large gap, which I found to be beneficial. It also meant I had to raise temperature targets slightly, but because the battery is so robust, that's not a problem. I just switched back to the "tabs up" position to see whether I'm missing anything, since it's been mentioned. I expect that I'll return it to "tabs down" before long. That just made more sense, and seemed to be in keeping with this illustration [ https://tinyurl.com/y4ddqxqz ] (although, there appears to be a symbolic tab in the up position in that cutaway.) In other illustrations, such as here [ https://tinyurl.com/yxmgj55y ] the tabs are up, but the surface is convex in that direction, which isn't the case in reality. It's all rather haphazard.

That's for sure!

I just got notification from Airvapeusa for new colors for the Legacy: dark and light greens. The idea is to plant trees with each purchase. There is a sizable discount ($169.00) of $100, in-stead of $269.00. I am on the fence about this and will give it a considerable debate in my head and wallet. Green is one of my favorite colors.....born in the month of May. Plus, the fact that you finance 10 trees for each unit purchased? The delivery will not be till sometime in March. Heads up to AirVape fans. I will write back about my decision. Still enjoying the power of the Legacy but, still tweaking it. Love to all!!✌️❤️😷💃🤩🧚
Is there a link for the green ones? I just tried the airvape se and digged it. I’m definitely in for the 169$ price.

I get where you're at but why get another one when you can diversify? I don't know if you're a DaVinci fan but I can't say enough good things about the IQ2. And the Miqro is no slouch either. I'm digging my Legacy too now that I've finally settled on tweaks. It's very good but I think the IQ2 is even better, as is the Crafty, if you don't have that. Just sayin'...

I have tried DaVinci in the past. I had an original one and the Ascent. The Ascent proved to be a problem and I sold the original to buy the Ascent. Oh well, there are other vapes to try.

This vape can hit very well for a convection vape. Just have to have the temp up higher as it reflects the source temp, not oven temp. I tried 390 and got great flavor light vapor. Then 426 very nice clouds! It’s pure convection. Tasty AF. Just started playing with it. Get back soon!

I agree. Sometimes a stir is needed especially when over 400F. The gold screen/bowl inserts help cool too.
PS I am selling a brand new original version (grey) in the classifieds.

My airvape xs go was a little beast aswell, could deliver a potent punch.
I've only just discovered this company (Airvape). But, I am fairly new to vaping. I'm completely banged after 3 bowls... earlier I had two bowls and I was a gonna, lost my car keys which I did find after 20 mins of intense searching wired off me head😁. I've given up nicotine after 20 odd years. So, really glad I came across the airvape X. What you vaping now? The Xs was the previous generation?

I have a wolkenkraft fx mini and an arizer solo 2. I love both, but for quick convenience it's the wolkenkraft every time. I'm a recent vape user too, I smoked a fair bit in my teens but now in my mid 40's and loving the vape.

Even though I'm happy with the airvape X, I'm still looking for a full convection. Maybe the Tinymight or the Airvape Legacy.

I see, like with me, VAS hasn't taken long to take hold. The legacy looks good but fairly pricey. The solo 2 is great, but for my needs it's a bit of a faff. From what I've heard there is a bit of a wait for the tiny might.

Got a eMail today morning from the Tinymight vape gang :). They said it will take 5 working days to ship to the UK. So, I'm still thinking. And these are pricy, and neither was I born with a golden spoon lol. So , money has to be spent wisely. I am looking into On demand Vapes also.

Because I've used this site to learn quite a lot, and I'm very grateful for that, I want to put something into the record for others who come here to learn about the Legacy. I'm hearing about a great many problems with individual units. Of course, that's only natural. People who aren't having problems don't tend to post much, because they're happily and successfully using these devices to do what they're made for.

But for the record, my Legacy arrived in perfect working order. I've never had to modify it, squeeze the lid when using it, etc. I find it dead easy to fill and to clean. These days I really don't like using anything else in my collection because the performance of my Legacy is that satisfying.

Understand that I'm certainly not boasting or lording mine over anyone else's experience, and I do believe the manufacturer's feet should always be held to the fire to maintain their manufacturing and service to the highest standard. So the discussion should, and must continue. But if there are others who are wondering if the Legacy is worth purchasing, this post is just to say that when the device works as it should, it can be an absolutely first rate choice. As of right now, I find it among the best ever.
Hi, You would't mind sharing your settings for flower and how long you are intaking? just curious i can get 10 sec draws with the leak as its designed pushing down and attempting a 10 sec draw at 190 c definitely combusts, i do think there is a problem with the airflow through the flower ..But I have never got clouds out of this and My SSV gives clouds everytime just saying

Well after 2 years of fussing and fiddling chopping and changing thanks to this thread I now have My preferred settings which is bowl just over 1/2 full with the screen in convex, temp 168 ,10 second relaxed draws ,and it does produce clouds and no charring I have also removed the little gold screen and find that it performs excently now so thanks All One very happy chappy oh and I use it through the X-vape water adaptor which fits the legacy purrfect :) so I'm sorted!
