Tafée Bowle

I did notice one quirk....
It occurs when using the unit for the first time in a while (an hour for example).
The first 2-3 attempts, my light switches from green (ready) to Turquoise (battery) after about
3 seconds of draw.
It is frustrating, and will happen 2-3 times, and then all of my draws for that session are normal.
I watch this carefully, and it has not deteriorated.
Anyone else notice this? Anyone have a comment on this?
+1 same thing for me either with automatic short press or long press

Sounds like the strange mid-draw green to blue cutoff is pervasive. This requires an acronym. Wondering about a thermal sensor upper/lower limit cutoff somehow connected to the draw "e-sensor" via firmware code. Cutoff seems to consistently occur near start of draw, perhaps that one similarity in cutoff behavior will assist in isolating the bug. I really enjoy talking out of my ass after Bowle sessions -- Bowle movements

Suppose someone should report this to Tafée, don't know if they read thread

About a sound coming from the puck, I don't hear high frequencies anymore, so can't say

It happened to me too, I just thought I wasn't inhaling hard enough to trigger the sensor. I'll try to keep an eye on it to see if there's a reason for it or if it's random. It's not something that happened a lot, maybe like five times since I have the vape.

My vape does make a faint high pitched noise when the heater is on but it's not different than the noise coming from some of my other convection vape, I'm not worried about it.

No combustion in my vape so far, even at level four. But if I fill the cup too much the top of the herb will be darker, almost black, when I see that I just compress it back in the cup and load less in next time. If you combust with this vape it's because you weren't paying attention and did something wrong, this vape wont burn your herb in five seconds. You will feel the flavor change before you reach combustion and if you do combust it will be a little spot, not the whole cup.

It's not necessarily that you're drawing too slow, it's just that you need to be drawing consistently, I've been able to take slow sip hits or fast rips, but bouncing between the two during one hit is not so productive...

I've also had the "Green light goes off midway through the first hit" in a session anomaly. It doesn't happen for me every time I start a new session and in my case I haven't noticed any correlation with how long it's been between uses or a sound. It rarely happens to me though and when it does happen it only happens on the first hit of a session. I don't think I've had this happen more than a handful of times. I'll keep an eye out for the pattern/cause as well but since it doesn't happen consistently or often for me it may take some time to isolate a pattern.

well, i am loving the vapor quality so much I just ordered another Bowle so i can rotate them off and on charging times. I know they are pricey but with the vapes that are going to be demoted and possibly sold off this is a no brainer for me. damn is this thing great, and its a cup too!! lol

I really cant believe Bowle has sidelined all my heavy hitters!

The only other flower vape I continue to use with regularity is my Omni but that is exclusively for fast hit N run... and I am only using my P80 when Bowle is on the charge... Bowle has totally taken over!

is there a large difference in the long and short stem? Im trying to decide between the 400 and 250 (minus drinkware and potter) Not sure if the increased cooling (if noticeable) is worth making the unit more unwieldy (wont be using with the glass......likely ever)

Has anyone tried to charge the bowle using another charger ?
Not I.... The manual says not to attempt this, and careful inspection has revealed a different configuration inside of the USB connector,
than the standard.. or of other vapes I regularly use.

These are opinions, and personal preferences:
  1. More vapor path to collect the resins that belong in your body.
  2. More cleanup (by a small % ... but still increased cleaning)
  3. Shortest Vapor Path gives the patient fuller spectrum cannabinoid experience.

Genuinely curious: why are you looking to buy a three hundred dollar cup vape if the cup part doesn't interest you? You could just get a Tinymight for vaping and an Otamatone for long stem silliness.

That’s good to know. Do we have more details about what’s inside usb connector?
Would that be a chip ?

Had a tiny might and got rid of it due to fit and finish and CS and PWM whine. I want this because it appears to be a great vaporizer, the cup portion is a bonus I’m not interested in but does not make the whole vape useless for me. All the cheers for this have concerned it’s vaporization and not it’s liquid holding capabilities 😁

I also got it without the cup, though the drinkware was included free however I have not tried it yet... Bossman my man this is a phenomenal vape, you shouldn't let the unique form factor throw you, or at least you shouldn't let it throw other people! ;) :goon:

@Jah75 it's only an inch difference, should not really make much difference, but there is one of us who has the ability to compare the two if you read back the past couple pages you will see who, should be getting theirs soon and will report back when they do!

I believe @Zoticus has both the long and short stems as well.

I have both the long and short stems and really cannot tell a difference between them. if the long one is a bit better it is not by much at all. i prefer the 400ml cup size though because with ice in my drinkie poo it allows the extra volume. this is pure convection bliss, if the cup is a stopping point for some you are doing yourself a disservice by not experiencing a great vape. i would rather have it this way than a mediocre vape in a sleek form factor, been there and done that.

Yeah, honestly every time it happened I wasn't paying attention, doing two things at the same time. So I'm not sure it's the vape the problem, it must be user error. It never happened when I used the vape by holding the button, just when using the breath activating feature.

Also I had a couple of times when the heater would not shut off immediately after I stopped to inhale, it would stay on a couple of extra seconds compared with the usual shut off time. I noticed it because I'm used to stop my inhalation to stop the heater, then I inhale again to clear the stem, so I saw that the timing wasn't always the same. I guess the sensor can be finicky some times, but it doesn't impact the vape, it just take you by surprise when it's not behaving the way you expect it to do.

Oh mine always takes a second or two to shut off, that's why I hardly used that feature, because it is too hard to clear properly...

Also was it you, or someone else who talked about accidentally moving the heater screen and having to reset it? I might have touched mine the other day, didn't think it shifted, but now looking at it it seems like maybe it is a little higher than it was? Hard to tell and afraid to touch it much now and risk pushing it further... No idea how it could be reset?

Tinymight creator is know for a fiasco (Apollo) and the TM itself has flaws. Mine will need to be open and repaired in order to work decently again. Just months after purchasing.
Bowle maker on the other hand created the MiniVAP, that is still appreciated years after launch.
TM can scorch your load and combust. MiniVAP or Bowle seem not capable of doing so, under any circumstance and Bowle is also on demand, like the TM.
TM is smaller and the glass thing may be silly, but who needs vape portability since having to wear a mask outdoors?

Same here. I did not even give it to a patient... did not want them to have issues.

Neither am I interested... Liquid above electronics..... I do not even keep a cup/glass of liquid on the same desk I vaporize on.

It is a phenomenal vape! I placed the drinkware on the vape once... for the beginning of a video, and it's not been back!

I had the lighting issue as well on a few first draws, is it possible a heat up thing?
Wasn't a fan of the TM and it's issues(gets too dirty and flavor was sub par for me)
This thing is truly amazing. I love hitting it outside in the cold.
