Healthy Rips FURY EDGE

From what I can tell you only get a charging cable and not a charging port. Can someone please recommend a good charging port or what to look out for when buying one. My pc is currently out of order (lol) So can't really use it as the power source. I wasn't sure if you're typical cell phone charger would be ok or possibly cause damage.
Congratulations, good choice, I'm sure you'll enjoy it (as your friend does).

To match your charging cable you need a (high power) USB charger. That means more than the typical units, you want 2 Amps or more. The common size is "2.1 Amps" and supports many products in this power range. Like this one:

It must match the mains plug you have of course, but simple adapters will cover that. Almost all come with 'universal primaries) so they work well with 110 or 220 Volt systems.

Be sure it's 5 Volts (or 5.1) as more could damage your new vape.

Regards to all.

My fury edge has been sitting on my shelf for awhile since I got my Flowerpot. It was my go to for using through water, but the flowerpot has taken over this role. However, I recently picked it back up for out and about because I get tired of using the torch with the dynavap and I'm reminded how good of a portable it is for the price. I use it with the 3D flow stem, which is necessary IMO. The airflow is open, which reminds me of the flowerpot open airflow, which feels nice. You can rip the edge with hard short draws and get good vapor. I've been running at 340-370 and like it at these temps. Unfortunately it just doesn't hit me as hard as the dynavap or flowerpot, so I need two full loads for good effects. Just need to bring the tolerance down, though that's hard using the flowerpot.

However, Edge has it's own capsule and IMO it's superior in that it's stronger and easier to load and use (including a favorite mode with me, bubble hash directly in the capsule at 410F or so).

Ohhhhhhh I gave up on the dosing caps, but now I have to dig them up to try with some bubble hash.

Last night I used the Mighty followed up with the Edge. Slept like a baby. Didn't even get up during the night to pee !! Okay, so I wet the bed instead (just kidding). Like most men my age I was waking up every night to pee. Since using cannabis the issue has gone away. No s*it or should I say no pee.

How do the 2 compare? More importantly, is the mighty worth the extra cost? I'm completely satisfied by the fury edge but my curiosity has me wondering if I'm missing out.

How's the smell from the vape when it's not in use? Does it put out an odor when nearby?

I can't have my FM Cap in my pocket or car because it smells like a dispensary which defeats the point of being discreet.

Whether or not Mighty is worth 'extra' cost is a very subjective topic; imo the Mighty is worth the price they ask for it (though I do like discounts, etc!). But the F2 and the Edge are excellent values, then then 50% swap for new is also a sweet arrangement.

We're not supposed to do a lot of vape comparison here, I think there are other places in the forum you can ask these questions.

Briefly, I have used an F2 and I own a Mighty and I will say that, while they F2 does give some beautiful vapor, quick heat-up, is easy to use and pocket, I do so like the option of filling Mighty's pretty generous-size bowl and sharing with others. The F2 bowl is too small for that, I see it as a one-person vape, while Mighty is more versatile in this area. Mighty battery life will run circles around F2. These are just the first things that come to mind.

If you are quite satisfied with the Edge, then you are doing fine, no? There's a ton of very appealing vapes on the market these days...
There's no shame in controlling VAS. Mine has been a bit out of hand this past year or two... :|

if you use the standard mouthpiece to vape through that would trap residue and smell eventually ... if you use glass adapters then no accumulation anywhere in the vape but condensed in the glass attachment ... so , keeping either the glass clean or mouthpiece would eliminate any smells ... otherwise there is no where for vape residue to accumulate on or in this vape
Edit - I use the WPA and keep vape upside down on the bubbler ... this allows vapor to waft into the airway as the airway is above vape level ... over time resin will accumulate in the airpath that way ... I clean it with iso alcohol when that occurs ... even then however there is not much smell in there ... this issue is eliminated completely if used right side up and not on a bubbler

In my opinion both devices medicate. Suppose I have both a Toyota and a Mercedes. Both will get me to work every day. The Mercedes, I assume, may drive a little better. Probably not good analogy. Okay let's try this - suppose I had 2 hookers, one is 22 years of age and the other is 30 years of age - never mind - another bad analogy.

Seriously, I think the Mighty hits a little harder. Because of the glass stem on the Fury - I think the taste is a little better. Trade offs between both exist. If the Fury does the job for you I don't see any reason to spend twice the price of the Fury for the Mighty. Remember, this is all subjective.

Now if you don't mind I am going back to thinking about the hookers ....

Got my device on Friday, it is perfect. 🥳
I was a real fool when I was starting to use vaporizers a year ago, and I picked up the slightly cheaper vapes. One by one. Spent a lot on those "cheaper" devices. :( It was a bad idea to try to save on the devices because, in the end, I spent much more and collected a lot of e-waste.
(for the record: if I remember right the Edge was not available in the EU when I checked previously, just the Fenix "variants", and importing from outside EU is problematic here because the customs)

The battery last longer than my Flowermate v5s pro (that has 4500 mah - on paper), and it extracts way better using capsules.
Speaking of extraction: with the CFV the first round makes the material fully extracted, and I'm not able to use it again, with the Edge I can do 3-4 cycles with the same capsule. The draw resistance is optimal. Taste is perfect with the capsules, easily beats the K-vape pro, which was my best device so far in terms of taste. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase.

I see only one thing missing from the HR accessories: @HealthyRips.com should release a different silicon cap for the mouthpiece with the glass stem.

@thrl Glad you finally found the device that fits your needs. The Edge seems to have one of the least amounts of ‘buyer remorse’ of all the portable vapes out.
Personally waiting for the Fierce replacement. Earlier communications with the good folks at HR was told to expect its delivery some time this fall. Probably in the testing phase, working out any little glitches. Getting it right is well worth the wait.

Got mine Friday afternoon and we've already become great friends. Definitely considering ordering some of the dosing caps here soon. I do believe it's my favorite of the vapes I've had so far and I'm pretty sure that's not just the new shine a-talking. My only small complaint or issue I'm having rather is with the loading of the chamber. I can't seem to find a consistent "pack" that works best. (That's with using material from the same batch.) I know in the user guide it says don't pack, I've tried that but didn't have the best luck there either. LoL I'd appreciate any tips on it... One time I can get thick clouds on 350 F then next load I'll have to crank it on up to even get a halfway decent hit. Another thing I've noticed is I'll get a good hit or two then it stops producing, when I take the mouthpiece off its like the whole load has risen up and is no longer touching the bottom of the chamber. Again any tips on getting the best and most consistent load/pack would be much appreciated!

How much do you load the chamber with ? I usually load it with 0.1g or even less, and use the SS pad over. This way and using a medium grind, I always got nice results. You could try vaping between 350 and 375F, see if it works better. :)

I haven't thought of using the ss pad on top, I might try that here in just a minute. When I get the pack right i like to start out between 335 to get a couple of flavorful hits then up to 350 for a few hits then I'll go to 375 and up to 400 then end on 430. Especially if I'm not at home and don't plan to keep the abv.

mine came with a short black stem, but I would like to try some other glass mouthpieces too.
can I use the fury 2 bent mouthpiece combined with the Accessories Attachment, to hold it securely in place?

or are there any other stems compatible with the Attachment (without any modification)?

all Fury2 glass fits in the Fury edge bowl ... same bowl size for both vapes ...
her is what I use - Fury2 WPA ( images link @ DDG) https://duckduckgo.com/?t=ffcm&q=Fury2+WPA&atb=v165-1&iax=images&ia=images

and these as well - Fury2 glass attachments https://duckduckgo.com/?t=ffcm&q=Fury2+glass+attachments&atb=v165-1&iax=images&ia=images

I found as well that the WPA shown above fits very tightly into the Fury edge snap on piece ... I used it one time that way and just went back to dropping the glass down into the bowl like on the Fury2 ... if the glass is to loose a fit just add a tiny strip of cotton on the side of bowl to Wedge the glass in there as you slide it into place...

Do you guys get a lot of noise from the bottom air holes when drawing? Mine is pretty loud. Just making sure this is common.

Sorry if this has already been discussed, but why does the unit only charge via my computer and not via my cell phone charger? This was never an issue with the micro USB on my Fury 2...

Edge, with it's bigger battery capacity, comes with an 'upgrade' to USB-C which is capable of a higher charge rate. Apparently your cell phone charger is not capable of 'keeping up', you'll need to upgrade that as well if you want to use it. 2 Amps (more commonly 2.1 Amps) is the new minimum needed for Edge.

Regards to all.

It's a genuine OEM Google Pixel charger that supports fast charging and can do either 2A or 3A (can't remember which). That's why it makes no sense that the Edge doesn't acknowledge it.

The fact remains, it apparently does not work? IMO a normal 'wall wort' USB-C charger will, as will other USB configurations not involved in 'handshake' protocols. Certainly that's the normal experience with other owners?

I'll give you 'dollars to doughnuts' that one like this will provide the required current without the 'handshake' problem (as does your computer which also doesn't have this 'feature'?):
