I actually had a similar experience purchasing the Stona grinder from Germany on 4/20 but that had arrived earlier in June.
I'm hoping there are no more delays after this!

Is the Stona worth it? Certainly looks the part.

Just got the email myself....SWEET !!!
Orders 20813098-20816858 will be shipping out by the 5th of August...arrive on the 29th and be shipped USA in 3-5 business days !!! Thats 3,760 of these bad boys..! I was # 492 on the list and I thought I ordered Early, Mar. 6th.
I use my X on a multitime daily basis, even tho I have a Ghost, DynaVap 2020M, ENano, SAI-TAF on a Geekvape AEGIS, Viper Cartridge battery and several other battery mods. Some may not see use for several days at a time, but, the old XS's and now X are used Everyday.
That is one of the reasons I was Soo disappointed in Airvapes Lack of Response.
Reading that Email produced quite the sigh of Relief !!!

Is the Stona worth it? Certainly looks the part.

It is beautiful. I got the Herbhack Limited Edition. Definitely lives up to being a great piece of art(of a grinder).
To put it short and to not go too off topic here, my initial reaction was good. Then I tried stickier more resinous flower and I would just end up smashing it instead of grinding it.
Luckily though, I asked Herbhack if there were any techniques. He said that for that kind of flower you'd need to not just put the whole bud in as you would for dryer flower, but to pull apart into smaller pieces and to not apply as much pressure to let the flower get sliced.
Makes sense because the grinder is only moving at the top while the metal blades stay stationary at the bottom(like a mortar). Anyway, I really like it and have been putting the stash area inside the grinder to good use. lol
I realized I was trying to use it more like a regular grinder when it's clearly not. hahah

This Airvape Legacy news really has me hyped up to receive it now more than ever!

Well have to thank you for that. I have been looking for a grinder this style for ages. I found a few but you just showed me this and well im getting one! Just torn between the colour options and now the special edition! Looks beautiful and would use it all the time for that fine grind. Looks like a huge version of the finishing grinder by MFLB which is also epic. Just wish got on the kick starter thing. Find it quite similar to the legacy really, got a great discount so not fussed for the wait.
Reason why I said it was quite Kickstarter-esque vibe was because a lot of makers there have not really been giving much notice either. All because of this corona virus, its affecting everyone. Just glad this news has come. The photos were reassuring too that I know stock is there. (Not a ghost style situation going on)

My only complaint is that it smells like the organic linseed oil that is used in the wooden finish and you can't really smell your flower. I'd imagine that the finish will wear off eventually but just a note that I wasn't expecting.

Haha no it’s just what I wanted so I’m sure it will live up to my expectations!
that smell would be because of the wood, that oil is treatment for the use it will get, to preserve the look. I’m sure over time it will disappear. Hopefully anyway.
I missed out the 4/20 sale also haha. Will have to pay full whack for this one!

Fingers crossed they are good! I’ll have to sit back and watch it all unfold. Upside is, I can see any tips and tricks in advance for when my arrives.

You guys are real troopers. I would never preorder anything like this, or any electronic device period, I don't care how awesome the Legacy is, or what sort of preorder incentives they offer.. Maybe it's my innate pessimism but I always assume that this type of delay/runaround problem will happen with a new vape rollout, especially when it looks SO good on paper. Y'all crazy for having your money (and peace of mind) tied up for that long, especially for a 1st batch that could have problems, but that's just my opinion. Thanks for doing all of the hard leg work and informing me that it would be best to wait another 6 months or whatever before even considering ordering one

I salute you. As a first time early adopter the incentives outweighed the growing doubt I felt throughout these pages. The relief of a reaffirmed shipping date was medicinal. Horses for courses

I still have and use one of the Original Ghosts. The Airvape XS was my 1st vape. Went thru 3 before I quit messingup the USB port. The last one(#4) quit holding a charge
It was replaced for FREE with the X. ALWAYS had Great CS from Airvape. Thats WHY I Preordered. Giselle just emailed me saying the shipment is arriving tomorrow ON SCHEDULE for shipping this weekend. Been a LONG 5 Months !!!

I too was a ghost early adoptor on the pre order. I actually still use it, I had 3 normal replacements and then got my self a extra stealth which also got replaced. All had some flaw one way in another. Now I have 1 normal ghost and the newer stealth and these are working fine. Hopefully the legacy shall excel!

Haha yes the second unit was a gift also! There CS I do have to say was good. However it seems that airvape CS is also fantastic. Likewise I use both however my original unit has started to flash all the colours (more red than any others and vibrates like crazy) From what I have read, it is a heater issue...so guess that unit is out of the Rotation!
