Oooh, nice.. it's either a 'Classic Core' or an SC1, not really able to tell from the outside. I'm guessing SC1 since we made 10 times more of those than the CC. The CC was basically only made during the first year or two of UD.

I'd say that's fairly standard size for a Twig.

Hotter to the touch yes, but a tiny bit cooler in the core and for hits.

Softer woods act more like insulation and trap more heat inside whereas the harder/denser woods tend to transfer more to the exterior of the wood and radiate it off like a heatsink. The thinner the body the hotter it will feel in the hand (for all densities of wood).
Makes sense. This cocobolo noticeably hotter around the top than the walnut, but it’s hard and skinny :brow:

Can anyone recommend a battery pack that uses 18650's for the underdog? I had the one from fasttech that has adjustable voltages, but after being through hell and back with it, its finally stopped working. Fast tech no longer seems to sell the same battery pack, thats why im asking. thanks yall

Yeah those skinny hard woods like cocobolo can definitely make you play 'hot potato' with a vape lol.

I haven't seen one of those adjustable voltage models on the market in a while but I'm interested too so if you find one please share the info and if I come across one I'll do the same. Deal? :spliff:

Loving both the look and function on my walnut unit today.
Super excited to see what you come up with on my custom unit.
Can you do totally round like a ball?

Totally round like a ball isn't doable with our current equipment, a turtle (Tortuga Dog) shape is about the best we can do with this gear and sanity level at this point.

Off to do battle with your custom! :borg:

Hi Dave

Someone just mentioned this battery pack here in the Misty Thread:

Personally, I use this monster battery pack here in combination with a buck converter. That's sufficient for an evening of vaping :D

:D It would be cool if there was a wooden housing /box for that big battery and the controller, that doubles as a dockin station :D.
Btw you can get skyblue for $15 also there are better deals on other sites. i snatched mine locally for about 15 euro delivered. It charges batteries very quickly ,other than it serves as decent power bank. I am getting more tha 2 hours runtime with 12v 20w bulb and two vtc 5a.They charge quicker than they get drained,lol..
I like it mainly for its size.

this is a great dog pic!
Still the most terrifying avatar ever *shudder*

And that IS a great dog picture

In general - is there a way to limit the default display size of pictures? Most of these are HUGE and it makes it hard to read the forum. Could size be limited for default display and you can click to get the full size picture?

Wow, it took THREE TRIES to get it to add the right quote, and I swear I did the exact same thing each time. Anyway. I looked on the website and couldn't find an example - any chance you have a picture of a Tortuga dog you could share with us?

I'm disappointed not to see fcombustion.com as the default web site URL. I read most of the thread about this on the old site and I swear I thought the general consensus was to collapse the "fuck" so it would stop being filtered by anti-spam filters.

Hello,

I am looking for a 14mm STEM for my bubbler, which I can buy in Europe, in order to limit transport and shipping costs.

I already have the "micro" model but I want a larger bowl.

2 years later, I use this wonderful vape every day, and I'm still very happy with it!

Thank you for your passion @Underdog!

Sorry for my little English, I live in France.

Here is a pic of the original Tortuga Dog.. if I recall it was maybe 8" wide and 3" tall (ish)?

Some people took to calling it the 'Cheeseburger Dog' since most people held it like a burger while trying to use it. :D

Sorry for my little English, I live in France.

The tubing is a standard (Schott) size and any glassworker or shop should be able to get it for you. I think it would be a cheap and easy job to get someone local to cut you a few pieces and flame polish the ends. The GonGs are also a standard size if you want those as well.

Your English is good, much better than my French!

Heya Dogs!

Nice to see all of you here on the new forum!

Just in time for the weekend, we've put up some new heady glass stems made for us by @508phineas (link to his Instagram page).

Click here to see these new stems on our website.

Here's a preview of some of the ones available:

They each have a pinch inside to keep the screen in place.

This one has to be my favorite:
