Wisdom tooth extraction - ok to vape afterwards?

Hey! I just had two top wisdoms removed. I was told to wait a week before smoking but does that apply to our methods of FC'ing? Lemme know some of your experiences.

I did not have a problem with vaporising. But I would choose a model with maximum air flow. You don't want to suck strong. If you are very concerned you could vape through your nose too. Then there should be no contact of vapour with your missing teeth at all.

My experience is just anectodal, so no guarantee it works for you.

Ah the link from @biohacker explains it all. My message obsolete
Isn't it incredible how much wisdom floats in FC.

The smoking issue is mostly about the suction and not necessarily the "smoke". If the clot does not set well, you might get a "dry socket" which is an extraordinary PITA and something to avoid.

Looks like edibles for a bit.

Not that you may want to, but could be a good time for a short break? :brow::p
Tbreak will be in effect, or will be come Oct. 9th. Taking a trip abroad to Thailand for a month. Long needed break that will force me to stop. I'll be honest, I hope to find some good flower out there but I'll be off the grid and my family I don't think messes with that out there. So if it doesn't happen, I'm ok. I really want to see how my mind/body react being off it for a month.

I cannot wait to return though, come 2020 my luck will be better in finding all the good stuff you get to enjoy up that way in Canada! Maybe will get my first taste of that live resin I know you enjoy.

I heard there is a hard ban on vaporisers in Thailand. But they loosen up on medical cannabis. I do not know if it is only for cartridge/e-juice vaporisers. But I would not try my luck with something like that and not take any vaporiser gear there.
But I bet there is fantastic weed to find.
Be safe and enjoy your holiday.

Thanks for the heads up. I wasn't planning on taking anything there. I wanna make it back home to see my kids hehe

Damn, Buck i'm jelly! Can I come with? :D I need an escape from this west coast rain winter and SUNSHINE!

And yeah man, just wait till you get your hands on some live resin! :mmmm:

Some may not believe me, but if it wasn't for live resin and full spectrum extracts, i'd be tossing in the towel on the entire game!

Where in Thailand??

My buddy Vegetable Police (youtube channel) moved there for a couple of years and makes me want to as well! lol He was in Chaing Mai. Daily massages (quality) for pennies a day! Live like a KING!

Bangkok and then to Vientiane Laos for awhile and maybe Vietnam, if time allows.

The last half of our trip will be in the boonies in Sakeo to meet a sister whom I've never met in person. Will be a culture shock for me. I've lived pretty much my whole life in America but was born there. I was too young to remember anything.

Trying to make the most out of this SE Asia trip, while I'm out that way.

That's what I hear. Massages all day everyday on the cheap.

I will have to check out the vege police.

Nice! Vietnam is on my list too! The girl i'm seeing at the moment is Vietnamese and from what I understand, it's like a more underdeveloped and cheaper Thailand? The only thing about all those places is the shoddy air quality, but whatever... it's all about the beaches!

Massages and incredible cheap food!! What's not to love about that!?

Vegetable Police is a fucking riot man! It's all diet/health related, but in the funniest way possible lol

If you choose to vape after oral surgery, including wisdom tooth extraction, make sure you don't cause the stitches/scabs to pop from suction (too much draw resistance / using your mouth to pull rather than your lungs. Also, make sure you keep water nearby, so your mouth doesn't dry out.

Nice! You must be eating really good then , getting the authentic viet foods. In fact, Viet food is one of my favorite places to go eating. I'm a pho fanatic lol.

Haha! Yes! I have 4 Viet restaurants near my condo all walking distance... I told my friend that i'm a Pho snob now haha... she says that's a GOOD thing. She's also a cook, so yeah i'm not complaining.

I'm so spoiled with quality sushi too... I love Vancouver....and asian girls/culture!

Are your wisdom teeth impacted like mine? lol Apparently i'm fucked in the future due to nerve damage. My top 2 came out easily, simply were pulled. But the bottom are completely sideways, and one has breached the gum line and likely needs to come out, but fuck my life i'm so scared of the nerve damage that i'm just keeping my fingers crossed that they just stay put until i'm 6 feet under. Then they can do whatever they want! lol

Awesome! You and I would get along well. I see alot of synergies. We'll be taking our next family trip up to Toronto. I'll have to hit you up if I have any questions.

Regarding the wisdom tooth. My healing is going well. I now have all four out. You should get them out if you can. But if they are not affecting your daily life, then I wouldn't worry.

Cheers!

I'd like to share my experience because I can compare very well.

About two years ago, when I was still smoking, I had a wisdom tooth being extracted and although I tried cutting down, I wasn't able to do so completely. It took about six weeks to completely heal and I (and the doctor..) could tell that the complications where caused by me smoking. It was truly a pain.

About two weeks ago I got another tooth extracted, meanwhile I have switched to vaporizers and e cigs, which I did not cut down at all. Both my e cig (Kayfun Prime) and my vaporizer (Omni XL) have quite a tight draw and esp. the e cig I use pretty much all day long, so I guess I stress my gums etc. with quite a bit of suction.

While the extraction itself was painful, it was fully healed within three or four days, I didn't even need painkillers.

So what I think is: it's actually the smoke that complicates such surgeries, not so much the suction – I'm sure it has an impact when you suck very hard, so I recommend being a bit more gentle at first, but from my experience the actual culprit is the smoke.
