Back here at home:
An ominous crack in an Antarctic ice shelf takes on an otherworldly beauty in a new aerial image. Snapped by NASA’s IceBridge scientists, the shot shows a rift in Larsen C, an ice shelf floating off the Antarctic Peninsula. When the crack spreads across the entire ice shelf, it will create an iceberg the size of Delaware. As of Nov. 10, when the scientists observed this crack, it was 70 miles long and more than 300 feet wide. The crack plunges about a third of a mile, all the way through the ice to the ocean below.

This was supposed to go in the Pets and Animals thread, but by the time I took the picture all the birds were gone.
Taken about 20 minutes ago.
My feeders were full of female Gold Finches and a Downy Woodpecker. There were a few Tit Mice and Nuthatches this morning. I was too slow to shoot them (with the camera).

Man, I get a nice buzz and think I'm fucking Ansel Adams. Well, not fucking Ansel Adams like in a carnal way, but taking pictures like Ansel Adams though these are nothing like Ansel Adams photos they're just, well, Ansel Adams ish, but not really...
