Your favorite memories

Actually what sparked this is my memory of coming into L.A. at night from Sacramento. It was pitch black over the mountains, nothing. Then all of a sudden, with a very distinct line, the incredible lights of Los Angeles came into view. It was breathtaking.

But those are not my favorite or fondest memories. Others come to mind, for example the deep dark nights of winter 72-73, with stars blazing above and ice everywhere, flying down the hills with my friends. And the parties around the same time, with Goodbye Yellow Brick Road coming out of the stereo speakers at my friend's house, everyone incredibly stoned and high, my friend's older brother wowing over how hooked he was after smoking some raw opium. And Janet .....
