I know ebay is riddled with *nigerian scammers, but now craigslist too!
damn...has it gotten worse lately? seems like I could pick out about 30 vehicles at the low end that were clearly scammers. or has it been like this for a while?
* i'm sure there are just as many dudes around here, in brooklyn, or yugoslavia, scamming card numbers on the internet as in nigeria, just saying...
adds a distasteful dimension to shopping for a used car.
though also an element of a challenge I guess...which one is a fake? how good am I at picking out the "foreign accent," the social engineering (like answering too many questions). and that price that makes me want to abandon all reason.
