Is there interest in a thread of this type? Someplace where members who have built, are building or thinking of, can share tips, tricks, things you've learned along the way. I'm not talking Hair Straighteners here, I'm talking presses. Hydraulic, pneumatic, electric bigger scale rigs. A buddy and I are doing R&D work with a 25u bags, a 6 ton bench top hydraulic press, and a toaster oven to heat up surface ground steel plates. Just to get a base line established/get some experience squishing and start to tweak things, eventually taking the data we gain to a larger scale press. Tempratures, plates, press construction. Anyone else interested?
