Recommendation for "pen" style vape

I have a question for a friend, and in this case, that's actually true! [Myself, I am waiting for the Ascent, so I know what *I* want.] The people here at FC seem to be really well informed, so I said I'd ask.

They are looking for a vape that is A) Pen-style, and B) will handle a large(r) amount of substance [EDIT: Flower, not oils/etc].

In terms of the Pen-style, that is a requirement for discrete carry. He can find a place to deploy it, so it's not about discrete usage. He wants to carry it, and have anyone that might casually see it think it is a pen.

In terms of the bowl, he wants to not have to do many small applications, so the bigger the better.

In my *very* under-informed position, I think the pen-style is at odds with larger hits, as the size precludes bigger bowls and bigger batteries. So it might not be possible.


But I'm open to all of your words of wisdom.

If you have pen-style vapes that you recommend, please let me know.
If you have ones you would avoid (I already see one thread here), then please leave that input also!

Looking at the Atmos Raw currently, but just started looking.

I haven't seen any great reviews on pens for flowers. I am in the process of retro fitting a few ego batteries and others with different atomizers/carts, etc. OF seems to know his stuff on electricity and vaping... I got my stuff from zainy.net and vapornation. the pulsar 7 replacement cover doesn't fit my ego batteries it has a larger thread pattern. I've heard good things about Omnicron carts though haven't tried myself...

Yeah, it looks like flower is a problem in pens, although a few people in the Atmos Raw thread do think it does a good job (and others don't).

So I'll keep looking, but I think I'll tell my friend to pick a different form factor.

But any other user input, I'd gladly accept.

Still awaiting shipment ordered over a week ago. It comes from China so you have to deal with long/shady shipping. I have tried the pulsar 7 replacement atomizer on an ego battery with a cone had to shave down the cone a few mm. Not what I am looking for, but a neat project although unsuccessful for my needs. After reviewing the atmos raw it looks as though I will be using my new pens with my dry ice hash, got a 220 micron bubble bag coming soon! The raw didn't get good reviews on flowers but concentrates got really good reviews.

Until it burns out after 10 uses, the carbon deposits ruin the taste and you absolutely can not clean it back to new.

Sorry, I'm not sure which device you are referring to. SSVUN~YAH mentioned a few.

If I had to guess, I would say kushcabbage was talking about the raw pens. But after messing with pulsar 7 I think flowers will be a no go in the raw pen. Hope kief works in it. I had high hopes with the pulsar, since it has a ceramic rod like ssv but airflow is too difficult to get right. Probably just take a few dollar hit and sell it all and get an arizer solo or save up for the ascent.
