Please take your Hurricane precautions

Hey fellow FC'ers...if you are in the Southeastern U.S., please keep your eye on Hurricane Isaac. It appears the track is still a little uncertain (as to be expected), and you never can be sure about the intensity given it will be over the very warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico.

Just a reminder about precautions:
- at least 1 gallon of water per person/per day
- batteries for flashlights (candles can be dangerous)
- non perishable foods
- fill the bathtub with water before the storm hits - this water can be used for bathing, flushing toilets, etc.

Also VERY IMPORTANT! If you have a portable, make sure it's charged up. If you don't have a portable, make sure you have your "old school" tools available. :spliff:

Be safe, folks. Mother Nature will run her course, and we just gotta go with the flow.

We are ready. We have a generator, battery lamps, batteries, water, canned foods, etc. We have everything we need, just in case. We are already under a hurricane warning, and are seeing the outer bands this morning.

A generator? Awesome! Can we come over and plug in our vapes? We are running around here making sure we have lighters. :( Now's the time we really wish we had a portable....

We mainly have the generator so our food doesn't go bad. We can't run our A/C on the generator, but we can have a little light, keep the fridge and freezers cold, run small electrical appliances sparingly. Gas is expensive, so we have to be careful what we use. :)
