MN Medical MJ

Don't know whether to post here or in Flock You:
FU Minnesota for having a supremely bad med mj program.

Paper had an article today on MN med mj
1. the bureaucratic mj law is so bad that many physicians are leery of sending patients
2. only 491 patients have signed up as the approved conditions are so narrow and restrictive and
3. it's so expensive: a yearly $200 fee for patients.
One patient said his monthly cost from one of the 2 state ordained dispensaries would be $2000 vs street cost of $200
4. law mandated no bud/herb, just liquid, pills, concentrates which are more expensive

And they wonder, gee, why aren't more signing up???

EDIT--and 20% of the current reg patients have not come back for month #2 meds.......

@MinnBobber Im sure they set it up that way, making it where nobody wants to sign up. That's too bad they aren't allowing flowers. Maybe as a group you can change that. Do they allow the referendum process in your state?

They are changing med cannabis in WA state. We are forced to go to our family doctor to obtain a med card in July 2016. Most physicians don't want anything to do with cannabis. They are not interested in jeopardizing their medical license. If a physician signs up more than 30 patients in one month said doctor will be flagged. Not sure what that means, probably not good.

Plus the cannabis in WA state folks we will be paying 47% tax. If we sign up for the registry we will just pay 37% tax. The black market will thrive here. The lawmakers in our state are greedy, they see dollar signs.
