Dimmer w/ wall wart for log vapes

This looks to be a wall wart with a dial that ranges from 1v to 12v at 1.2a wouldn't this work with the DC powered log vapes (not enano, which doesn't need this anyway) ?

My hope would be to attach right to a log.

I use a switching power supply that's kinda similar in idea to the one you linked. I'd imagine they would work similarly. I use it to have my underdog run at a lower standby voltage to reduce wear and tear and allow me a much shorter heat up than from cold. Around 2-3 minutes, depending on environmental factors, compared to around 6-10 minutes
