CCleaner breach

As some of you are aware, I'm a little paranoid about security. For instance, I come here through Tor. One program I use to wipe my machine of cookies and the like after surfing is CCleaner. Apparently, it has been breached. If you use a 32-bit machine and downloaded an update within the last couple of months, you may have some malware on your machine. Since it seems the malware is in the installer itself, some experts believe simply reinstalling it with the current version would fix the problem. They do not believe any "packages" have been delivered through the backdoor as of yet.

I use CCleaner so appreciate the heads up.

Luckily I don't practice what I preach so I haven't updated it in ages. I'll hold off until they resolve this snafu.

Cheers bud.

I'm a big believer of being up-to-date with my apps and programs. Most issues like this seem to happen to older versions. In this particular instance, I run my PC in 64-bit so I am not as concerned as I would otherwise be. Still, I did uninstall the program and run through a bunch of anti-stuff programs just to make sure.
