Missile style is the best style imo. I love the stock setup w/ XL mouthpiece too

Another +1 for the stock anvil for bubbler use. I don't have the the WPA to compare but I love the normal stem for my use. I keep my Anvil in a leather sleeve for storage. Because I only use the stem with normal MP usually, it makes it really easy to just keep in the sleeve and then pop it...

Definitely clean it. There are going to be manufacturing oils left on it, and you don't want to breath that stuff in. Grab some ISO and cotton swabs and go to town. I personally like to pour boiling water into all of the pieces once I'm done using alcohol to rinse it out. Then dry with paper...

I don't have the other ovens to compare but I find my threads only stuck when I tried to preheat the oven without the bowl. I actually needed an allen wrench to take them apart because they thermal locked so tightly. Generally though, I actually find my oven a little bit loose, where it takes...

Where is this little j-hook from?? I love it! the twisted glass looks like Hookahead's recent TM2 stems but I've never seen a full glass piece like that.

If you guys search Brenyo's responses in this thread, he has a couple posts about adapter positioning as well as temps. For wand temps, 280c/535f until time out will get you right to the 3rd line on a calibrated VI. 400c/750f until the blinks stop will get you just past the 3rd line. I found...

    Anvil by Vestratto

This was absolutely my issue! Thanks everyone who mentioned heating past the clicks on the wand. Since Friday night I've messed around a bunch with timing. I found that setting the wand to 765F and just letting it time out gave me a perfect (for my tastes) one hit extraction. The clicks are a...

    Anvil by Vestratto

Heating past the click I hadn't actually considered though, so there's some truth there. But yeah I'll probably try just restarting the heating once the second click happens and then just count pulses of the lights...5 or 6 could be a good start, as they're roughly a second apart.

    Anvil by Vestratto

Hey all, I got my Anvil about a week ago, and I'm absolutely loving it. Extremely consistent, same roast every time. Last weekend we had an unseasonably warm Saturday, so I decided to have a nice wake and bake on the patio. Ran it completely native with the regular mouthpiece, and I was really...

    The J-hook thread!

Picked up this stem from GVB last week, finally gave it a whirl tonight. Absolutely love it, was able to crank the TM2 to 8.5-9 and it was so nice and cool. I never realized how much more comfortable it was going to be to use the tm2 in this position either. Really love it. First Jhook stem...

Well lads and lasses, VAS has struck again, and my thermocore Anvil arrives this afternoon! Very much looking forward to putting it through the ringer tonight. And for more fun, the USA and XL mouthpiece are coming in next week. I've got a couple of questions: 1) I have a basic cheapo eagle...

Lmao thank you, but I'm well aware what the screen is there for and what's behind it 😂 My question was for anyone who had to disassemble the cap for whatever reason, and happened to be curious whether the ball screen would fit in the tip.

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

My Tempest has a ccd style screen in the cap, anyone else have one as well and has tried using it as a bowl screen? I think my biggest gripe is the screen being far too flexible and falling out of the half bowl setting, but the screen in the cap looks like it could possibly work. But it could be...

Very similar, almost identical. Not sure if it's the case on all of them but the bevel on the tip end is a bit larger on my revolve 2 stem...but otherwise they're no different. Maybe the diameter has changed slightly too, but I don't have calipers to check precisely. I think the cutouts to mark...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

ah ok good to know. Well, my point still applies regardless! I still use my HookahHead WPA with an m+ tip as half bowl, with an FMJ. It's my easiest no fuss vape when I want a small dose.

It's not just about cosmetics, soaking wood in alcohol/water will cause it to swell and possibly crack. The only thing that needs to be clean in the wood stem is the liner which is titanium...just rub it down with a swab damp with alcohol, that's all you really need to do. if you absolutely...

Thank you for posting this. I was able to replicate this exactly with my own tempest so I'm glad to know the VI is at least calibrated the same as the final version! I wasn't able to watch this vid with volume so apologies if this is answered in there, but what are the click disks calibrated...

Rosewood sleeve arrived today. Really loving the grain on this thing. The small channels cut into the base closer to the tip are great. Gives it a bit of extra grip as well as preventing it from rolling too much. It's clean and has a fresh application of beeswax and mineral oil applied...
