valid points. my thought process was that by orienting the HI upside down on top of the bowl it would keep plant matter from falling into the heating element and would also make it easy to stir while also providing a "hands free" experience

yea the picture doesn't really do my idea justice. in my head i picture it with a more ornate design but for the sake of showing my idea i just used a boring block for the base

i guess it would just come down to personal preference. i personally prefer a whip style myself. and also the whip could help cool down the vapor before it is inhaled

Alan, this is my first post here but have been following this thread for some time now. first i must say that your vaporizers are absolutely beautiful. the reason i am posting is to share an idea with you for a "dock" like apparatus for the HI. forgive me for the crude drawing i have posted...
