I'm pretty sure that smaller volume is easier to control, so I recommend a bubbler or very tiny bong. Which you get depends on your style and preference. If you can afford it, get one of each and see which you like better. As to fit, a 14mm glass-on-glass joint fits perfectly. That means you...

    Discontinued Pandora Kit from Purple-Days

Hey, it's all good. Yeah, the heat exchanger tube is supposed to be like that. You might be able to put a screen in to keep herb out, but you'd have to get the right size screens and ring clips--I don't know if the ones that come with the kits would work or not. Someone who's got the actual unit...

Sweet! Thank you, my good man. One of these days, I'm going to swing down there to thank you in person.

Well . . . damn. I quit the herbs for half a year and look what happens~ Tom, you're a great guy, you know that? I look forward to buying one of these suckers once I can get the cash together. Two PDs never hurt anyone, eh? ;) I'm thinking cherry/bison, but I suppose I'd better move fast to get...

I've heard, though I can't confirm, that the stem of the PD fits almost perfectly into a 14.4mm g-on-g joint. Using it this way with a bong has the added benefit that all your herbs stay down in the bowl. Just make sure the bong is completely clean. Fresh water, clean down stem, clean, clean, clean.

I've also noticed that a bowl, once it's getting really toward the end, will tend to drop little crumbs down into the PD if anything is jostled or tapped. I've actually started hitting my PD at a slight upward angle at all times so that I don't get any crumbs that drop into the heat exchanger...

Right, but bong water, unless the bong is specifically used only for vapor, is absolutely disgusting. Literally gag-worthy (if not puke-worthy). Re-vaping AVB is at worst a little bit of, "Eww, burned popcorn-ish kinda sorta." I don't think it's right to compare the two. :2c:

I would personally suggest drawing slower when you're filling the tube. That way less gets pulled in and it doesn't pack tight enough to clog anything. I've noticed that the finer I grind it the less I should pack to maintain good airflow (almost blew out a lung on one bowl last night :ko:)...

Good, proper names for such proper tools. I really like seeing the comparison between the old cherry and the new. Really shows just how much darker cherry gets as it ages. Nice. As to the warm up/break in idea, I would say yes. I always break new things in for a few days just to make...

Wow, Tom, that's a really neat little invention you made there. Extremely innovative. Now if only the pipe cutter was self tightening . . . . ;)

It made a pretty good splat on my pants. Might be just a splat that worked loose and landed flat, but it looked like it had just splatted. >_> I just said splat like four times. Hah. Anyway, like I said, it still works. I was just wondering if there was anything I should be worried about.

Wow . . . I was smacking my PD last night to clean it and what I think was a drop of molten solder flew out and landed on my jeans. :uhoh: Tom, does that sound like it's possible? I mean, it still gets nice and hot--I'm using it right now--but should I be worried about anything, here?

Yeah, I read that last night in your other post. I don't think it's going to be any time soon that I get any good savings. :D Edit: Wow! That iso soak really does completely clean out the tubes. Nice. \o/

Yeah, I do notice that I tend to get much more vapor if I chop/grind the herb first, then put it in a shot glass and let it sit on top of the PD. Then I go back and chop at it a bit more (I use a shot glass with scissors, thank you lwien!) and let it sit for some more time. It gets super dry and...

I find myself getting a good five or so hits out of it. I usually look down the stem and see how much vapor is swirling inside the tube. When it's inserted in the PD, the translucent stem lets enough light in to let you see the vapor against the black background of the inside of the PD. Even...

I'd personally say get a heavy duty six foot (two meter) extension cord. Heavy duty/thick gauge to lower resistance and avoid large voltage drops. It's something I'm considering for my own uses. Also as long as it's about six feet of extension, your voltage shouldn't drop too much.

"Expansion." The loose fit is to accommodate easy use when stoned out of your gourd and to make sure things don't bind up when hot or cold. MZ = MyrtleZap. We'll leave that be in this thread. You can find information elsewhere on the forums. ABV = Some abbreviation that I'm still not familiar...

Woooot! I just got mine in the mail today! Damn, it's smaller than I thought it would be. Prettier, too. And heavier. Currently have the little copper cup sitting on it with some incense stripped from the stick sitting in the cup. Mmm . . . tasty. Thanks so much, Tom! I'll post pictures soon as...
