The Cannascape(fun name) holds 2 oz. I think larger jars for larger quantities for long storage might be a consideration.
While it's true the Solo family doesn't have replaceable batteries in the traditional sense, if your battery dies once it's passed its warranty, replacements are available and the process is fairly easy(I did one myself.)

You may have gotten a defective unit, I'd look into an exchange.

Not sure if the ALP's battery management has been mentioned. My ALP gets more out of my batteries than my TM or my Angus. In regular usage, I have to change the batts in the TM and Angus daily if not more. A battery in the ALP lasts for a couple of days.
I don't hate that!
I was also a lucky one, my 2 original Hoppers still work, but I use them rarely for fear of pushing them toward their demise. I was able to gift Io's thanks to the gracious and generous @mephisto and I believe they are still working as well, but also babied.
