I use the blunt end of a chopstick to pack it and I don't have a problem with herb falling out when I lay it down. I don't know where I got the notion, but I thought it was recommended to tamp it down after you draw it into the whip. I think for air flow purposes.

I assume you are referring about the threads. My plain aluminum aerospace has had blackish grayish residue in the threads. Try iso cleaning and then using a few drops vegatable oil in the threads and then wiping the threads out clean with a cloth after you've turned the threads a few times...

I vape everyday from about 8pm 1 or 2 sessions. My witdrawal symptoms are basically a really big urge to vape the next night and the urge lessens to day 3. That's when there is very little urge to vape on day 3. but I must say, I think vaping makes me want to vape more than combustion.
