Meanwhile I adapted my backup device Xmax V2 Pro, to use the water bubbler of Focus via mode with cuting silicone cap. It perform even better than Focus itself! xD . p.s. I`ll share pictures later on.

Hello there community! I got response from supplier. Both devices had scratches in chamber. That protected mode is kind of bug or future whether PCB is checking the chamber for micro scratches. So don't use sharp things when cleaning the chamber. They will disable that function in new batch.

Well.. 20 days later the new unit has the same problem with the "Protected mode" without any issue before that.

The new unit is there. The smell is gone after 10 min burn out. I`m happy again :)

They have responded to me and will respect the warranty. I'm waiting for instructions from them how to send it back, because they are moving the factory.

Done all you mentioned above - still that text "Protected" after 15 sec and you can't even set temperature after that. Only shutdown works.

I have tried without success with other premium 18650 battery like LG HG2 and Samsung 25R. Also leaved the device over night without battery. There is a strange noise if you shake the device up and down. I guess there is some cold solder..
