When I first got the new ring and chamber I tried screwing just the bottom part of the housing (orange piece) on without the top black half for a test fit. I noticed that since the new ring adds some height to the original setup it pushed the new chamber up enough to unseat it from the housing...

Updated reducer arrived today along with two dosing caps and an extra screen for the reducer. So far, so good!

I noticed the tackiness, too. Just gave both pieces a good wipe with some ISO on a microfiber. Also, got tracking # for the updated reducer just a little bit ago. Will report back when it arrives. Cheers!

Hrm, I only saw the one person that said they managed to scratch their ring by trying to use it with the original chamber reducer. Not saying that should scratch it, but it wasn't new part on new part.
