Thanks for this. I found a small metal pipe at a cigar/rette shop that's not quite a perfect thread fit but it does well enough and it's about 3cm long. Shockingly they did not have the short glass pipes there, so I'll have to try a proper headshop for that. I thought about other options too...

Haven't tried it. It looks alright, but it's really redundant as the top fits on about any metal screw pipe bottom. I've been using my classic wood top on a metal pipe for most of the time I've had it, it's way easier to use and clean than the wood base.
