left the scene for a while only to come back and to realise, the Okin is not being produced anymore. Sad news to me. Such a beatiful and functional piece of art as result of amazing craftmanship.
i was actually thinking of buying a VapCap too. but now, reading the comparisons, i'm starting to think, that this niche is actually perfectly filled with the vaponic for me.
a agree, you don't need a lot of extras with the vaponic except a good torch. i got a spare filter, but only just in case. when i bought mine, it came with a spare outer tube, it might set you up for the first accident. :) i don't know whether they still do it though. what i like about the...
what @RastaVapa said works for me too. you'll probably have to play with flame lenght in the beginning. i found about 1cm long right for my needs. stick with single flame torches and don't load too much green, because you probably will combust at first. but you'll get the technique down pretty...
there was a "heating station" for the vaponic on the market.
easy to observe, it resembled an insconspicuous desklamp and could be loaded with up to 7 vaponics. the slots looked like a revolver drum. the heating element was a halogen lamp.
it looks, like it could have been a nice party device...
i share your point of view. the Okin is not a vape for a quick fix, when you just need to get high no matter what. :) no hurry, take all you time you need, create a nice setting and enjoy the magic. :)
i don't think the admiring part is going to work forever. at some point you will feel the desperate urge to light one of those charcoals and to take a draw. ;)
on a different topic, a frequent use of the Okin has its downsides in form of dwindling charcoal reserves. :) are you going to post a tutorial on how we can make our own to achieve the quality of yours? it it is possible at all.
my bad, didn't see it was about the station. i belive you could only buy them from Rene directly at the moment. still a pita to have it stuck for almost a month at the customs.
that's really annoying. did you have to pay any customs fees? if yes, you probably came out with the same price as if you would have ordered from a vaporizer shop inside the EU. Rene gets your money anyway. :) one other thing a read somewhere is, that there seems to be a flourishing "duty free"...
thanks for the great review. so you're saying the buzzing sound could be eliminated by using a third party power supply? i'm curious about your results with the vaponic, should you decide to try it out.
