I understand your concerns however, from the pictures, it's clear that the surface area that contacts HEATED air is mainly glass and stainless steel (though, you're right, the intakes (plug and logo vents) would bring room temp air past all the electronics and "stuff" on the bottom right...

Thanks for these pics of the guts. Is the vibration motor the small silver thing in the 4th pic behind the blue and red wires? Looks like a pretty simple device if any one needs to fix a loose connection.

I'm wondering if you did an inadvertent reset procedure by letting the batteries run dead? I have read about others loosening the lid to temporarily disconnect the batteries and resetting their units. However, the reason for the poor performance from the beginning is a bit of a mystery.

well friends, I'm joining this club too. A sexy walnut unit is on it's way to me to match my walnut E-nano. The FW3 units sold out in less than 4 hours this morning and less than 6 hours yesterday (or Thursday?).

I think my accessories order is one of the orders in USPS purgatory. I got a tracking number last week when they printed the shipping label but the tracking status hasn't been updated at all on the USPS website. No worries Nadia, I'm very happy with my nano :)

It was a plain brown box (roughly 3" x 4" x 8") with a massdrop return label, containing a plain white box which housed smaller boxes for the e-nano and power cord plus plastic tubes protecting the stem and GonG. Other items included a cloth bag, e-pick tool, sticker and one page quick start...
