I use a battery or two in a session. Load new battery, go through 2 loads and recharge. Sometimes it's dying at this point, occasionally is dead, usually 25% remaining but I see a difference in performance there. This tells me it wouldn't get through a third. Not gonna change battery every two...

Me also. I can get 3 bowls if I use lower temps more, but that 5 through water is just so tempting.

@Gandalf pretty nasty taste huh? Sounds like the exact problem I had. Put in a fresh battery and the light may turn blue after 30+ seconds. The heater is still working, just not being regulated right. Good luck with a smooth warranty experience.:sherlock:

Just got my hopper back! 9 days from sending it out to getting it back from warranty. Figured I would give a quick update. They replaced the body and I will say I'm pleased so far. The batteries are no longer a tight fit. Much easier to get out now. Gonna go load this girl up and take some nice...

Got word today from Caroline. My body needed replacement. I had a feeling something was wrong with a temp sensor or similar. Should have her back soon. Can't wait to put that piece back to work.

Still waiting on word that they even received my unit. They claimed a 1-2 day turnaround once they get it for warranty. It's OK, I'm used to waiting! :freak: In the meantime I hooked up a new seed order with some new blues and sours to run through the hopper.

It's things like this that make me disagree with paying our own return shipping...

Haha, yea.. But now that I'm joking about it I find myself thinking maybe it would have been good proof of failure leaving that shit nasty ash in there.

Between work, weather, and other shit going on, I just got my hopper out today. Gonna see what the experts say. Definitely was doing some weird stuff from random heatup times to burning to straight ash. Definitely something broke, so will see what they find. $7 to ship. Not horrible if I don't...

@McQuack, I would be really surprised if they made almost 2000 hoppers +warranty claims by now to have a bit more accurate idea, but like you said, the website doesn't reflect that. I think there are reasons for this which have been covered a few times but only the hopper team really knows...

Got a response on my warranty. Have to box it up and send it in. Apparently they haven't seen this problem. Gonna pack it up and get it out in the next few days. I knew I kept all the boxes for a reason other than how amazing they look.:sherlock: ..... Boxes
