I find the best way after alot of experience is to do the opposite of what you wanna do (haha hard to understand i know). I have to akwardly wedge it in, using alot of force with something like a pencil head. Im using a vapor brothers hands free whip tho. Hope that helps! I know it must suck...

I find as long as you pack around 0.3g it will stay all nice and packed. If you try to pack anymore into the wand you could run into problems :o

Ive never tried that brand but i personally use a modern vapor brand one and have been loving it for a couple of months. Great for when im waiting on my vape to heat up. MUCH cheaper than cigs too, I spend about $1 a day on juice and vape as much as I want. Their pretty much just as advertised...
