I'm typically using shatters and waxes but have also gone through a bit of CO2 oil - obviously the cleaner the concentrate, the cleaner your donut will stay (but that is relative, even the CO2 oils get them dirty!), but you're going to have good results with any concentrates that get the job...

I don't think I ever tried pulsing while still assembled... I was originally tearing it completely down, putting the donut back onto the base, and pulsing that way. Took a long time to disassemble for me either way, like you mentioned. If you are cleaning without any disassembly then this method...

I'm wondering if a DNA mod would be better for the DC v2. If you remember back when I was hopelessly focusing on the original "old" large donuts on my vt75, I talked a bit about preheat and how you could set your timer in escribe (for DNA75 or DNA200 devices). I'm pretty sure there is no limit...

Although my limited TC devices are Tesla brand and probably use a different chip, I have always used Ni mode over SS or Ti. If you can get into Ni or NiCr that would probably work best. I used Ni over Ti and SS on my istick as well.

I've missed a lot, catching up here! As always I'm impressed, @Vape Donkey 650, your gear.... I hope I have a collection like that at some point... Up until yesterday, I was using all of my v3's without WT, all the time. I finally had the money to grab an adapter, hydratube, and extra v3 to try...

Wait a minute! Maybe I haven't been clear yet, but my v3's work absolutely swell with my Tesla TC40W and eleaf iStick TC40. I use them both in Ni mode. The iStick @ it's standard (and permanent) setting of 40W works for both medium and new large donuts. The mediums I usually run @280-320F and...

I like this idea, but then we would need a solid piece for the mouthpiece, since there would be less resistance from magnets than from the current orings... I am going to drill out the screw holes on one of my v3's and attach magnets to the broken base I have to test it out, but I will have to...

I'm confused as to whether the large cups were ever revised. All of the large cups I have are identical. The donuts differ, but the 4 that came with my black v3s (2x2) and the 12 that came with my white v3s (2 from the first batch and two from the "new" batch) are all the same. I don't see a...

I posted a bit ago about this too.. looks like 4 omegas (ohm symbol) smushed down to fit inside of the donut. It looks like a single coil snaked around, not like the first large donuts which had two coils that wrapped around twice each. Looks like I have some more testing to do, but so far I am...

I am curious as to what your results will be - I am most interested in your temp readings/ settings with your Tesla Nano. This is the mod I was planning on getting the Mrs for the holidays, as it looks like a good candidate and I like my Tc40 which has a similar chip/ firmware. I didn't know...

Now that I finally have some time, here is where I am at with the v3, and my current settings and setups... I'm using e=0.6, I believe @fernand is using 0.5, and our results that are comparable seem to agree relatively well. Watch out, here comes my post about my dna75 trials and...

@Vape Donkey 650 - this is exactly my problem with TV mode on my vt75 so far. Every cold fire kicks out of TC mode. No matter whether I unscrew, replace and select "new coil" - however, if I switch to wattage profile, preheat to .62 or so 2-3 times, and switch back to my TC profile it works just...

I actually only like them to go up to .63, but since plugging the first two into my ht75, their cold resistance is not the same. It's not in the mid-.5x range, around .52-.58 for both. They are both blown and partially cracked, though, which increases the cold resistance. I'm going from .5x-.7...

Well, I didn't think about that. Kapton tape? I know that's rated high enough for 3D printing (100C or greater) so maybe it's good at vape temps. But it is also shiny, which is no good for an IR gun... In other news, my testing will be delayed a bit, since I blew another coil today (just...

True, many of escribe's features work to customize the device experience. The only part useful to everyone here is the custom Profiles. You can customize your Ti/Ni/SS316 profiles if you use juice, and create a custom one if you use DT attys. I'm working on one profile for my v2.5 also, hoping...

Picked up a vt75 from Hcigar when I saw a good deal... after futzing with my VM all day Wednesday to get escribe running... I now have two solid days of testing (and LOTS of wax spent) and have a pretty sweet custom curve for my v3 set up with a profile with no preheat (1s @ 25w, punch 1). I am...

I was thinking that the medium donut would solve all of my issues (just leaking), but this is even better! Any idea when the medium donuts will be available? As an upgrade, or only with new v3s?

I'm not sure what type of TCR curve the Joyetechs use, if any (it may be linear), but with the escribe software, DNA devices have a fully customizable curve, so there's that. Since we are talking a more complex heating element than a simple wire (regular "standard TCR curve" from the...

All materials have their own TCR values, it's just up to you to determine whether they would ever be useful. Some materials, like wood and ceramic, don't conduct. But often their presence can alter the dynamics of the whole system, and although imprecise, factoring the TCR of other materials can...
