I wax n buff mine at least twice a week. She really loves it too. :). I normally put a fare amount on it as its hot. Let it sit acouple of hours or longer to absorb into the wood fibers. Let cool and buff the hell out it. Sorta like making love nice n slow at first, pull pour the coal to it. Heheh.
Miss Vapey might like me more if I wax her more often. Vitolo is right, one should wax his/her log every chance they get. Smelling like fresh laundry just before using her.
Matter of fact, I gonna go wax her now. Just to help catch up. :)
Makes sense. If I was to ship you a block of a type of wood could you make my top out of it. I still love that black walnut awlfumwell tho. I have about 3 types of oak, cedar, popular and maple. Is 2" thick enough? Looks like tops are wider. But you should know. Just curious.
I guess the...
Hey Alan, how do you think western red cedar would hold up in long term temps ? I actually have some blocks of cedar. Beautiful wood grain and smells good too. Do you buy your wood in slabs or blocks?
Yea, that is a very hard wood, main reason I wanted it. Thought maybe it would prolong inside wood charing. Second choice was the black walnut, which I got and love it too. I like the darker woods with unique swirls in the grain...
It probably is. Dave was gonna make mine from that wood but didn't have a piece big enough. That was the best looking log he had IMO. Beautiful wood. I loved it.
Oh no, it's gone, someone bought it. http://www.underdogvapes.com/vaporizers/vapes-all/black-walnut-14009/
That piece looked great, u snooze, u loose. Just bought one but really wanted this one too. Oh we'll, maybe nextime.
Thanks mom. I liked using the Ricks wax to treat my MZ with, it has a sweet lemon smell and like u said it makes the wood really shine. Can one over treat it where it would eventually make its way to the inside wonder?
